So much knowledge of edged weapons, I could listen to him go all day long. Thanks for teaching so much of the history of such great long lost craftsmen of that era. People will always criticize and say you're just collecting objects of evil and hate, just cause wonderfully talented craftsmen made them doesn't mean they believed in the ideology so take them for what they are historic pieces of long lost talented people proudly crafting something that sill functional eighty something years later. I am proud to be German.
Really enjoyed the interviews, I miss you walking around and seeing more of the vendors but I really enjoyed the video. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and keeping history alive.
It was great to meet everyone at the SoS! I’m so thankful I was able to share the story of my great grandfather with Mr Wittman and Co! I hope y’all enjoyed his unique story of being a spy inside of the SS!
Good evening Sir thank you for the Excellent video the nite ,the flowers on Alex Japanese Sword look like lotus flower to me,Hello Rob keep up the good work 😘love n peace Carl Fishburn
Very nice video. I love the japanese sword a lot. It is not chrysanthemums but cherry blossom or sakura in japanese. Very nice naval piece! Greetings from belgium 🇧🇪. And let us all live in peace and learn from history ☮️
Great video Tom your so good with people and collectors I look forward to upcoming videos from your purchases at sos. Thanks for posting. That chained ss in your case is still on my mind
Hi Tom, Thanks for taking us to the SOS. I thought that I would have to break the viewing into segments, but here I am 90 minutes later. 👍😎 Loved Alex's Saxon Garde sword!
dude. that thing was MAGIC. did you see the incredible shape of the grip under that perfect sharkshin? that prick gets all the best stuff 😉 (love you Alex)
oh and how about that gorgeous customs hat and land customs dagger? I liked that guy - and his lovely gal. I wonder if he is doing what I plan to do - to have a beautiful matching hat to go with each beautiful dagger example... that's gotta be a thing right? hats and daggers?
The sword from 34:30... Im from Denmark. And Gunther pancke was in Denmark. He was a obergruppenfuhrer and police general. In 1943 to the end of the war he was head of police and in 1944 he was responsible for the terror attack (operation Mowe and hipo) Taking total control on what was left of danish police... Residing in the police headquarters in Copenhagen panckes hipo used terror and torture. Many danish police fled to Sweden. 2000 were sent to concentration camps and many died there. Pancke got promoted to general in waffen SS in marts 1945. In 1950 he was sentence to 20 years of prison for crimes against humanity. After 8 years of prison he was released in 1953.

Alex was actually the person I instantly thought of when sanctions and restrictions were announced! I was both surprised and pleased to see our favourite Russian in all his glory in this latest video! My best wishes to him too during this turnultuous time....
Those tags are interesting. Many dont realize how big a part the NAZIs & the war played in crafting how international trade works today. It helped take the Anglo-American Establishment & their system world wide.
Some of these daggers and swords with these unusual and crude stampings would make me nervous. These are on expensive blades and they wouldn't be something I'd personally buy. My risk factor has dropped a lot having been burned in the past. The blades are original. I'm just talking about the crude stampings and etchings.
😮 omg ! R Heydrich was featured in time magazine , and whats all the hangman's nooses about ? Now WHY ? Would an American mag have a picture of this HORROR of a man on the front page ?
l have about 15 daggers, army navy airforce, and 3 police 2 long 1 short dress bayonet, they have been wrapped in a flag, in a kit bag for years, but are fine, no rust, some have hangers and knots with them...where to sell? (FIGHT ALL DAY GO OUT TO DINNER, THATS BUSINESS😁)
Tom, I hope you can answer my question: I am thinking of going to the SOS next year as a European. Do you bring cash to such a place or can you pay for stuff with a debit card? My second question is how do you keep your stuff "safe" during the show? You walk around and someone can just snatch a degen from your table if your son or someone else is not paying attention.
Like 90% of dealers are cash only I will tell you that from going this last week. Secondly, he has a few people working for him that watch his table when he’s up and walking around.
Cash is almost always going to be the way to go; most of these old guys will give you a blank stare if you had them a card. They are definitely stuck in a time warp. As for safety, they've always got someone sitting at the table when he and Rob are walking around. I think it was Tom Junior this year.
I hope Alex did not encounter any unpleasantness while here. The American citizens have no quarrel with the Russian citizens. It is a disgraceful what out government is doing...
