Thanks Nancy! I do think even though it was incredibly hard, we were still able to enjoy ourselves. I think it has become my favourite adventure I’ve ever gone on. It’s certainly the one I’m most proud of
Thanks Gord! They were two very tough days followed by such a sense of accomplishment once we reached Brent. It was only made sweeter by the amazing moose sighting just as we made our way out onto cedar.
There really wasn’t much option. I was still able to manage my pack (barely), but Steph had to carry her pack and the boat 100% of the time for the next few days.
Watching Mary work through the pain of that injury leaves me speechless. I know her to be an impressive person, but this is incredible. Again, the quality of these videos is magnificent. So well done, my friends!
Thanks Ed, we’ve been working hard on the videos so it’s nice to hear they’re being enjoyed! I feel the same way. It was actually hard for me to edit this video because she did a pretty good job hiding the pain from me while we were out there. I don’t think I initially realized how bad her pain was. I noticed much more of it while editing and I feel so bad that she was suffering so much out there. We talked about it a lot on the trip and then again when we were going through the footage. It was a very tough situation.
@@marymillerlynch While I cringed just reading about your injury (I am sure Nance told you about my squeamishness!) I am in now way surprised that you toughed it out and completed the link!
She is definitely a warrior!! I don’t think we ever once considered it. We definitely didn’t talk about it so if she was considering it, she never verbalized it.
It didn’t really cross my mind. If there was a risk to life or limb - I would have used SOS. At the time I felt it was just a bad bruise and injured tailbone - neither of which is an emergency despite how much it hurts.
