FILM DESCRIPTION:
Previously thought to be extinct, a massive creature attacks a deep-sea submersible, leaving it disabled and trapping the crew at the bottom of the Pacific. With time running out, a visionary oceanographer recruits rescue diver Jonas Taylor to save the crew and the sea itself from an unimaginable threat -- a 75-foot-long prehistoric shark known as the Megalodon.

@@JennaTilwertz Indeed, there were juveniles found that indicate the adults can get to be far far more massive. It's why sperm whales and others sometimes have pretty brutal battle-scars across their bodies. Seems to be they don't get along well with giant squids.

That why the squid squeeze the capsule to bring water pressure into the prey then eat it, but then saw the meg, and tried to spit out black ink, but not in time so the meg ate the squid. So technically the Megaldon saved the girl.

Thien-An Truong I wouldn’t say bad at all because it’s easy to understand it while reading which is perfect. Anyways, in the movie it’s explained that the squid and megalodon are trapped down there because it’s covered with acid or something like that, so the megalodons were only able to escape due to the submarine passing through said acid. Which means if they would’ve all died down there the shark would’ve never gotten into the open ocean.

Yeah, this movie was kind of goofy just for the fact that he magically knew that it was a Megalodon and not just a large Shark lol. However, they always gotta make these action movie stars seem like super heroes in whatever way they can.

I do not doubt that this could've happened. There've already been sightings of squids in the hadal zone (more than 6000 meters deep), which can be as big as the Titan submarine. The colossal squid, for example, can be 3 times bigger than the Titan, that's almost 20 meters long, and they usually fight whales.

That squid probably weighs 20 tons over a 25 meter length. This movie has taught me that a squid applying 0.00128 tons of pressure per cubic cm is greater than the 9 tons of pressure per square cm in the Mariana trench (probably greater). And she has a window with a see through material. Thanks for the physics lesson Hollywood.

I did see it in the theatre with surround sound and it was loud! When the shark came for the kid it was gigantic, but when the baby whale crashed its face into the window of the underwater sea station I almost fell out of my seat. Seeing this on a giant movie screen is truly awesome.
