Basically the only thing we have found of the meg is its jaw cuz its the only real bone in the shark. Idk if they found bite evidence or not on other animals. But a lot of it is estimated based on current sharks

There is a lot of bad shark movies out there, and this is one of the actual good ones. Jaws, The Meg, The Shallows, and 47 Meters Down are the good ones. Excited for the Meg 2.

The Meg is easily the best shark movie that's not Jaws. I had a lot of fun with this, which is quite surprising because I was expecting it to be just another generic shark movie.

The Meg is basically a modern version of Jaws, and yes, Jason Statham was singing Dory’s song. And yes, Rainn Wilson is in that movie, but I had a hard time recognizing him.

Hey Tim fun fact The Meg does not have bones it's skeleton is completely made entirely out of Cartilage. So the only evidence of The Megalodons existence is it's Jaws and Teeth.

Your picks this week are fantastic! "Zathura," "Finding Nemo," and now "The Meg"? 🤯 I love Jaws, don't get me wrong, but I like "The Meg" even more. It's not gonna find its way onto my top 10 of all time or anything, but it's one of my current favorites to put on whenever I'm doing something else, and I want something entertaining to watch intermittently while I'm busy. It's not scary, just a lot of fun. I didn't know there was a sequel coming out, but I will definitely watch it when I get the chance, given how much I enjoyed this one. Great pick! ✌🤓

This movie is really frightening and it gives me goosebumps bumps no matter how many times I’ve seen it. I would say this Jaws is in another league of its own so I wouldn’t compare the two because in my opinion there really different. But that doesn’t mean I don’t like this movie. I think it’s awesome stellar casting, Brilliant Story and awesome action scenes just amazing 🤩🤩🤩thanks for this reaction and can’t wait till the sequel comes out 😁😃😃🦈🦈🦈

Just saw this film and imho, it was very good. It was thrilling, suspenseful, and interesting. You never really know what (still) is living in the ocean, as many things from the prehistoric era are living in this world.

Yes Tim.....The Meg is WAAAAY better than JAWS. JAWS was the best when we were kids, but it just hasn't aged well. It was the main reason sharks are seen as such monsters today. But even just as a shark movie, The Meg was better, since the characters genuinely caref about eachother and weren't just like "That person died, oh no.......anyway, let's kill the shark"

So today July 23 is the first day of Shark Week on Discovery Channel! And according to the real life experts the biggest megaladon (which literally means “big tooth” because it’s teeth were on average 6 inches long) ever grew to was NOT 70 to 90 feet long but in fact 60 feet long and weighs in at 50 tons. Hollywood tends to over exaggerate too much. 60 feet is still freaking monstrously huge! And what scientists believe really caused it to go extinct was the fact that all the other ancient large marine animals it fed on went extinct, and there were not as many whales that it needed to survived. So it literally got to big to survive. A great lesson in life, just because you’re the biggest, baddest apex predator of all time doesn’t mean you’re unstoppable.

Quite a few things they said in the movie about Megalodon were correct. I don't think they got as big as described in the movie, but estimates range from about 45 feet to 70 feet depending on the animal's sex. The stuff about the bite force is believed to be true with the Meg having the strongest bite force of any animal ever, including a T. Rex. Estimates are the Meg has between 3 and 4 times the bite force of a T. Rex and about 10 times more than living adult Great White sharks. People typically find teeth of the Megalodon because much of the rest of the skeleton is made up of cartilage. Fascinating and scary stuff. Imagine something larger than a greyhound bus with 8 inch teeth swimming towards you at about 20 miles per hour. No thank you!

Hi Tim I enjoyed this so much! Your reactions and comments during this are great and I agree . Although JAWS did start the journey MEG to me was a much more detailed and believable shark.... the technology advancement in the design made The MEG a much more believable creation . This is one movie I rewatch every summer and it still gives me chills . Thank you so much Tim for this reaction and I look forward to many more .

We know the surface of the Moon and thousands of planets better than the bottom of our oceans. It's not that farfetched of a movie when you think about that. Fun shark facts: A Megalodon's bite strength is estimated to be between 110000 N and 180000 N. A human's is less than 2000 N and a Great White Shark is under 20000 N. Your femur, the bones that resists the best to strengths like that, takes 4000 N to snap. 5 average humans standing on top of it would not be enough to break it yet a single bite will break it 37 times over (if we talk about pressure though, the calculations are different though). The fastest humans can swim faster than an average shark, but only the top swimmers. Otherwise, a shark at leisure goes faster than a standard human that tries to go fast and can go over 3 times faster if it tries. A shark will detect blood and urine in concentrations ridiculously small. 1000000 water molecules for 1 blood cell and it will detect you at over 400 meters.

Someone may have already mentioned it, but yep, Megladons were real. Just like giant snakes, alligators....etc. They were all massive at the time. Jaws would be a tiny snack to Megladon.

I enjoyed your reaction of this movie,but,there's always a but haha,you skipped the part when the guy say "now another shark ate the big shark,and im pretty sure there will be another one bigger than these 2 trying to get us".That part was funny aswell,but we can all agree that we cannot show the entire movie for copyshit,that's why need to skip some parts.But i like it,i saw it with my mom back then and it was a good movie,along with this one Shark Night and the shark on the mall those were good aswell,not big sharks like this one but awesome movies.Grettings from Argentina.
