Aaaaaand Now im imagining Dracula singing this while walking around in an infinity room with a bunch of abstract stairs and walls becoming floors and ceilings and what not
Don't think we didn't catch that Rondo of Blood boss room opening. These are damn good. Both musically as well as the lyrical story chosen to tell within each song. I would have never thought to make Wicked Child about Alucard but it makes so much sense.
@@inanna8782 The song is from Dracula's perspective. He's singing about how Lisa was taken away from him and was killed. In the first part of the song he's speaking to the people who killed her, but when he says: "What gives you hope? What makes you dare to fight?" He's talking to his son, Alucard. And since the title of the song is Wicked Child, that means Alucard is the wicked child.
@@deoxysoverlord8710 Totally... I love also how he doesn't reveal he's actually talking to Alucard until the end... until I heard that I thought he was just talking to some Walachians. :)
She was my everything My love, my empathy She was my light in the world She'd taint the night I'm going overlord on you I cannot promise to Honor what she would want tonight Tonight Her ashes spread across the sea You took her life from me Burn your lies Damn your eyes tonight Tonight Tonight You brought this hell upon yourself What gives you hope What makes you dare to fight Wicked child Wicked child All I have All I have of her I hear her whisper Wicked child I can feel the undertow How could she ever know She took the worst of me And made it right My only tether to her love Some sick joke from above Come undone, fallen son Tonight Tonight My only blood in their defense How dare you stray How dare you stand against Wicked child Wicked child All I have All I have of her I hear her whisper Wicked child All I have All I have of her I hear her whisper My child All I have All I have of her My only tether My heart Is all I have All I have of her I could never Have it cut Alucard Wicked child Wicked child All I have All I have of her I hear her whisper Wicked child Wicked child Wicked child All I have All I have of her I hear her whisper Wicked child

She took the worst of me, And made... it right. My only tether to her love, Some sick joke from above! Come undone, fallen son, Tonight, Tonight! My only blood at their defense! How dare you stray, How dare you stand against! Wicked child! Wicked child! ALL I have, ALL I have of her I hear her whisper... Wicked child! ... All I have, All I have, of her I hear her whisper... ALL I have, ALL I have of her I hear her whisper... ...Wicked child! Wicked child. (Alucard.) Wicked child!
ive checked the lyrics and apparently its "burn your lies, damn your eyes" but that makes no sense and i like mine better. damn you megas with your inaudible lyrics! stop doing this!
@@keaton5101 "Damn your eyes" is a common curse. "Burn your lies" may be a bit of a stretch, but it makes some sense, given that humanity is built on lies from Dracula's perspective. Yours is good too, but a little clunky in my opinion.
well, i have never in my life ever heard anyone say "damn your eyes", but ok i guess. shit how does that even make any sense with the context of "tonight" edit: for anyone reading this in the future, what i had written was "damned, you rise tonight", which i think is way better and makes much more sense.
For me, this song is the most emotional of your work. You make me perfectly understand and empathise with a villain like Dracula. Bravo! "She took the worst of me, and made it right."
Dracula is a character I relate to more then anyone. his story, through many versions is always a sad one at heart. a killing machine that is cursed with eternal sadness and pain. he is an amazing metaphor for the human mind.
This is brutally wonderful music. You use the original tunes' motives in a much more subtle way than your other covers, which creates a much more interesting and unique musical form. I wish all of the 80s music was like this because I would have loved 80s rock much more.
I was wondering who the lyrics are focusing on in the 1st part vs the 2nd part. Alucard didn't kill Lisa so is the focus humanity in general or is the blame being attributed to Alucard?
I think he starts with humanity but switches to Alucard when he says "you". Like, when he says "You took her life from me" he's talking about humanity, but after that like with "What makes you dare to fight" and "How dare you stand against" he's talking to Alucard. Alternatively, he could just be referring to Alucard in the whole song, as Alucard has chosen to side with the humans. Dracula could view that as a betrayal and lump him in with the humans Alucard chooses to protect as a sort of way to ignore any sort of guilt from having to fight his own flesh and blood.
Okay real talk, the change in character perspective with this band throughout any given stanza of lyrics in any given song is fucking UNREAL. That being said, who, between Vlad and Adrian, is saying what?
Did you guys see the Netflix show by chance? Cause I think about how Dracula was Portrayed in that show.... The only reason he started that war... was cause the Church burned his wife on the stake.... for "Witchcraft"
Yeah, the theme of tragedy is..... evident in both canons, for LoS, is was Gabriel coming to terms with what he did, under Zobek's influence (and before some "Hardcore" fans come in and bash me for DARING to mention Lords of Shadow, Yeah, I like both canons) And for the classic canon, it was Leon losing his love to Walter (which the song Vampire Killer on this album is about)
She was my everything My love my... empathy She was my light in the world She'd taint... the night I'm going overload on you I cannot promise to Honor what... she would want Tonight, tonight Her ashes spread across the sea You took her life from me Burn your lies! Damn your eyes! Love the track, realized tho, Lisa never had "her ashes spread across the sea". But you could say "Her body burned for all to see" don't take offense to that please. I just love CV and she was burned at a stake in one story and crucified in SOTN by the towns people.
@@rikimaru700 I dont care who's been around since when, I was into fnaf well before i ever listened to the megas. Also, while the megas may have existed before fnaf, this song hasn't. So either way, your arguement is useless.
