Yet another masterpiece by Yoko Ogawa.👏🏼 Lauded as one of the best books of 2019 by numerous book critics and book review outlets as well as finalist for the International Booker Prize award, it definitely delivered. Ogawa’s distinct gentle voice against such harrowing setting lends this novel an almost mythical and mystical quality. Quite captivating. And quite the heavy read but with such delicate writing.
