The Mentalist making you sob uncontrollably for 12 minutes straight

This is one of those shows that sticks with you even after years of watching it. I remember first laying my eyes into an episode of the mentalist when I was 13. Now at 23, it still has a mark on me.

It breaks my heart seeing how Jane try to hide his emotions My poor little boy

Simon Baker is such a great and so much underrated actor. The scene when Kristina Frye telling him she had a message from her dead wife was the most emotional scene of the show.

"Something's you just can't fix" scene followed by the "Parents are supposed to protect their kids" Yep, that broke me, maybe because I relate to it a little.

Such a complex character and story arch. Red John was absolutely necessary to the reclamation of Patrick Jane or he would have continued as the post Red Fugue piker who no one could ever trust least of all Lisbon

This is the show that practically made me unable to enjoy many other shows because compared to the mentalist, they all lack way too much deepness. It's absolutely brilliant. Love it to this day.

You know if I ever got someone accidentally killed, that'd be enough for an average person like me to struggle with that guilt for the rest of my life. Here you have a not-so-necessarily a good person who believed himself to be the reason why his wife and child got murdered in one of the most brutal way possible (bodies mutilated as was RJ's style was). I can't imagine what Jane went through when he first laid eyes on his dead family. I know new fans will catch up to this show, probably through seeing random Jisbon moments and that's great. But I just like to say that THIS IS IMPORTANT Patrick Jane's journey of grief and his struggle with guilt and self-hatred is the most Quintessential aspect of the show for me.

Patrick when getting yelled at by others: Okay Patrick when getting yelled at by Lisbon in season 6: You know, I-I'm sorry for deceiving you... *Sob*

Most complex character ever to play and to show such a range of emotions ...take bow to Simon Baker you will be lived in the hearts of people as Patrick Jane forever......

1:02 One of my favorite moments from the entire show, because only Teresa looked at Jane, realizing he is in pain, but more importantly, she has feelings for him. I don't know when she started to feel this way, but I'd like to believe it sparked from the moment they met. And in the end, they ended up together.

Simon baker killed it but Kudos to the writers because writing this long and engaging show with multiple storylines in each episode is not easy!

Watching Mentalist since 7 years.. I still watch it.. Losing someone is hard, but knowing your are the reason is the worst feeling ever.

This is beautiful. The Mentalist is so many things- but you did an amazing job of showing those quiet, more sad moments that stick out in appeal along with the main storyline. The music choice was simply spectacular. Thank you.

I still tear up watching this stuff man. Say what you want about The Mentalist, but god damn...Simon Baker was phenomenal in the role and then the genuine chemistry with him and Robin Tunney was just fantastic. They always NAILED the really emotional moments. Every single time.

A big serie. Jane and Lisbon are a great duo. Simon Baker has a difficult role and he arrived to take us with him. He was broken but he was also happy ; it's difficult to explain what I feel. But, great serie

I cried my heart out.

Jane‘s backstory makes me wonder if my father is still alive or if he knows I am well. My mother smells like lavender as well, funny how the brain retains some things and forgets others - I have a room spray, just for my bedroom, so that I can sleep well at night.

SB did such an amazing job playing this character. He was so incredibly multilayered, and ppl payed a price if they bought his buffoon act bc he probably had about a 160 IQ. His facial expressions alone made Patrick Jane memorable but he added so v much more, and it’s simply impossible to forget the character, no matter how many yrs go by between my watching and rewatching and rewatching etc etc etc the srs forevermore. 🥲😳🥰
