@@philipnestor5034White Marine Pearl. There you go. Peter Erskine is the most relaxed, minimalist drummer I've ever seen. He plays with his eyes closed and looks vaguely surprised when his hands start making moves. And every move is perfectly calibrated.

Not sure about the hat dimensions but they are big! Not sure what you're referring to with the term "tags" but it's a Rogers jazz kit.

My guess is they his name. Like Buddy's kits did.

The tags are probably the name of the drum shop they were sold from back in the day.Alot of stores did that for advertising long ago.

@@brianchisnell1548 Steve Maxwell talks about this exact kit in his channel. Drums used to have the tags of the stores in the old days.

Peter was playing to sampled horns and rhythm section, as he was the first player to remotely add their playing to this album. I thought it was a good idea to start with Peter and then build the rhythm section, followed by lead horn players, then everyone else. Ah, finally, a complaint. No video would be complete without one. I have a question Mr. Baksu; did you listen to the drumming?

@@farshimelt I did, and couldn't enjoy Peter's great performance because of the low quality track behind his playing.

Even without reading anything about this project, you HAD to realize he was recording a drum track for a remote recording and playing to MIDI band tracks that will be replaced later. The 200+ bars of nothing other than bass lines were a super obvious dead giveaway😝. Maybe search out the finished project?

It's a midi mockup so that the rhythm section could lay down their parts first, before the ensemble. Have you ever actually made a record?
