Fuck student loans man I was happy when I though Biden's new program was gonna get rid of my debts but no it had to be stopped. Now that was such a big tease.
The humor worked considering the situation. "Student loans? I'm sorry, you're dying." Also another line, "You told them it was my birthday?" "It seemed funny at the time." "Thank you."
@@Anonymous-lx7rqthe joke Is spoiled rich people fuckin blow n this dude hates that he Became so successful that all he could do was cater to them. So he kills them all
@@Anonymous-lx7rqwell first ones easy, he hates rich people so since the girl is a rich spoiled brat she’s gonna die. And second one is because some dudes told the chef it was a guy’s birthday to play a prank on him, but then they realized that the chef is out to kill them so it backfired.
Brown is known to give few scholarships, so this means her parents could afford the $82,000 per year out of pocket. To get into Brown, people go to expensive private schools.
@@shaunpoland5656 You have GOT to be kidding. In the US, only 7% of high school grads come from private schools. 93% come from public high schools. And yet 40% of Brown students come from private schools. Private schools give one a HUGE advantage for attending Brown. For evidence, google the article "The Real College Admissions Scandal." "This is the real scandal in college admissions: Wealthy families pay for their children to attend high schools that receive preferential treatment in the admissions process at highly rejective colleges. Defenders of private high schools’ overrepresentation at many highly ranked universities might claim the students have reaped the benefit of a more rigorous education in order to earn their spot. When you control for wealth, however, private school’s academic and social-emotional benefits are basically wiped out. Historically, students from the nation’s elite boarding schools “perform[ed] worse in the classroom [at Harvard] than other students over the entire 1924-1990 period” but went on to make more money than their peers by taking advantage of the connections they made in groups like final clubs, which largely exclude anyone who is not wealthy or white."
@@shaunpoland5656 Smoking cigarettes does not guarantee lung cancer, but it makes it far more likely. Going to public school does not guarantee getting into Brown, but it makes it far more likely. Despite only 10% of smokers getting lung cancer, scientists are 100% sure smoking *causes* lung cancer. Private school also causes many to get into Brown.
@@MiniNinja258 how does having someone else pay for your college make the classes easier? Like let’s assume her parents pay her school fees buy all her books and buy all her food and rent how does that make it so she can sit around all day doing nothing and still pass all her classes?
@@MiniNinja258 that’s pretty pessimistic A lot of adults are happy and work full time People who have kids and have fun on the weekends Engaging hobbies
Well she clearly knows she is spoiled and has lived a very luxurious life. Wealthy kids of parents deep down know they are spoiled big time and they know they can do better but don't and decide to live off that wealth and not contributing at all. There are some that do contribute don't get me wrong, but to me it seems like if you spoil a kid young it will be impossible to change their mindset when they are an adult.
@@spykemxdThe reason why he’s killing her is because her not having student loans is a nod to the fact that she grew up spoiled and didn’t have to work for anything. Student loans is where you have to pay back a collage for your education, she didn’t have any debt because her parents probably paid it off.
@unlockIsHereHorrorEdition smart? the film started out trying to convince the audience that the guests somehow deserved to die, then just gave up and had the guy kill them because he hated their movie or that they didn't need school loans, if you think The Menu was in any way smart, that is frightening
@@ZukoHalliwell Once he figured out that Brown doesn't give out full scholarships and her parents had to pay the $80k+ a year he literally jumped out of his seat to go be with her and literally do everything she asks cause he just found himself a girl with rich parents 😂😂
@Jacob Gervzy she admitted to stealing from the actor and we know she slept with him. she also admitted to not even knowing anything about the management job she was getting instead of working for him. These two things tell us she didn't learn jackshit at brown and was probably just put through college by her parents. I wouldn't be surprised If she slept with a teacher to pass too. She sounds like she was shaping up to be alot like the rest of them.
"I'm sorry your parents were successful in life" Yea it sucks when the kid is snobby and spoiled but I don't get why Americans are so fixated on obtaining wealth and then when they see people spend it on their kids they start hating. Best part is, everyone hating is a hypocrite for sure. Maybe 0.1% of us would be a millionaire and still send your kid to public school and provide the worst for them. The other 99.9% are the hypocrites commenting in this thread that the logic presented in this clip makes sense.
I'm so glad I'm not alone with this. Like how being born in a rich family is a crime? I mean, that fact alone? It's just the same like being born beautiful, or healthy, or smart - it's like a starting bonus: what you do with it matters, not the bonus itself. "You have advantage of others - you die", like seriously? How is that fair? Hypocrisy, like stated above - that's what it is, hypocrisy and envy.
I hated that scene for this reason. So she's going to be murdered just because she was lucky enough to not be born in a poor family? Like that's her fault? I love this movie but people fawning over Slowik don't realize that he's just as evil as Tyler.
I don't think this movie justifies chef's murder in anyway. It's just you treat people in certain way, you affect others (like chef go insane) and that would eventually affect you.
$82,000 for tuition and their parents can pay out of pocket. I can't even afford comminity college. (not saying its the riches fault or problem) but i just can't even imahine the feeling of waking up one day in a home that's nice and what i mean by that is it doesnt have mold it's not old i know most people woulsnt eben stay one night in my house. I couldn't imagine waking up and having no dear of what next week holds if I'll have food or if my car won't work, i couldn't imagine just a comfortable life witout constant worry and stress. Also not anyone's fault but sometimes we are meant to be where we are and will never over come it no matter how hard we try especially those of us born with disabilities and deformities. I'm always happy to see others with nice houses and not having to worry Because i don't want to see anyone have to live the way i do and i hope they never do have to live this way. With shame and embarrassment...
I get how you feel 100% but don't be embarrassed or ashamed! All you have to do is your best with what you have. That's a lot of us that don't have much and try to make it better but it's hard, it's not easy getting through life these days, but please try to keep your head up and try to give yourself a break. It's not about the stuff we have and don't have it's about the way we are as people... So things that make your life happy. Small things matter ... Live, love, and laugh as often as possible and me grateful for all the small blessings. You can take small steps to improve your life and happiness every day, but don't ever feel you have to be ashamed! ❤
“If you’re forcefully using thousands of other people’s works and lives so you never have to worry about a student debt you don’t deserve to live” fify
Most Ivy Leagues don’t give merit scholarships. It’s solely need based financial aid. So if she came from two parent household and their income was below 100K, she got a free ride. If it’s from one parent, under 60K, free ride.
@@mskittybbi Not most, none of the Ivies give scholarships. Brown was a perfect choice for this scene because out of the Ivies, it's the most expensive and the stingiest in terms of aid (mainly due to having the smallest endowment).
Yeah, it just seems to me the reason why people loved this movie was because of how blatantly mean-spirited it is towards anyone of even moderate means. Like, yeah, some of the characters were set up to represent some pretty horrible people in society, but a lot of them really didn't deserve to die, even metaphorically, but all the people raving over this movie act like only Margot deserved to live because she was working class. Totally disgusting.
Things i learned from this movie, Always order the cheeseburger, and ask for it to go. Make sure you have student loans Make sure ive worked in the service industry at some point. Learn to cook. Remember what i order when im out to eat.

I just love how at the end they all just accept their fate and say thank you chef with the staff as they light the dessert on fire. Some are even smiling.
I heard from another comment that sometimes its better to die in a unique way then to die in a bed at a hospital alone and sad. Maybe we should have some things set up for people irl if they are old and satisfied with their life and want to go out fighting a bear, lion, tiger or some crazy last stunt.
@@MiniNinja258I would almost agree for a more dignified end except the obvious problem where would you source the animals? I mean once a lion or tiger is considered a man eater they are put down because its dangerous around people since it can now judge you as a food source. Anytime bears end up mauling or killing someone their destroyed too.
It’s that she never earned a thing in her life. Remember: the Chef investigated all of his guests’ history, so it wasn’t as simple as “you didn’t pay for your education” (be it scholarship or parents)… it’s that her parents paid her way so she could get a prestige degree while she was using her parent’s wealth, her own beauty and connections to manipulate other people. That’s what the whole speech about being a User or Provider was all about: every single guest was a user who stole or manipulated people to get what they wanted. The entire Menu was a play on how fancy yet useless they all were, just like the meals.
Ion know but if you haven't seen Shaun of The Dead check it out its fucking hilarious. Also hot Fuzz Aldo it's more of an action film it still has some mystery cult elements in it. Both are fucking hilarious
