This is one of my favorite performances of the Merry Widow

Sheldon Harnick's English adaptation was televised and recorded with Beverly Sills and Alan Titus in the 1970s.

Astonishing wonderful cast, magnificent singing! May I inquire about the translation which is utterly superb?

It's a nice English version, but I prefer it to be sung in German even if I don't understand the word. I never paid attention to the words anyway. I just have an idea of what is being sung.
