Больше всех понравилась Валентина, прекрасно поет и играет. Граф Данило тоже очень хорош, но иногда переигрывает, как, например, в конце второго акта. Все остальные тоже отлично играют. Спасибо.

A beautiful production of this well loved operetta. The mise en scène in art déco is very appropriate. The dresses are a bit on the cartoon side, this work may be light hearted but does not need to be ridiculed. The voices are very well selected, the dancing numbers well rehearsed and beautifully rendered. The well known music is emotional, melodic, catching, romantic, unforgettable. The widow sings beautifully, as does Danilo. This rendering by the San Francisco Opera is one of the best I have seen. We miss the third act. Thanks for posting.

Lovely production. This is the third Merry Widow I have seen and it is a different interpretation, but still with the wonderful music.

Opera with anglo-dialogue from the Merry Widow caused a lot of money at the ticket booth at the time along with an excellent play.

Timeless music, excellent. thank you.
