@Joshua Lytle is it though? Like if that's a design that they were specifically going for, then I don't know if it really is lazy. Like maybe it was just going to be their trademark to have floating torsos. It's weird but maybe that was the idea in the first place. I really don't know, but even in the original demo video for Meta (which actually looks good) they only have floating torsos. Like I don't think that legs necessarily make the difference here. This is just my speculation tho.

okay so this is what I thought too at first, but i actually find it way easier to talk to and meet people in VR bc 1. you can be mute if you don't feel comfortable talking, and just gesture and nod and stuff, and quite a few people will be very accepting and welcoming and it's really cool (: 2. you can just find ppl and go up to them and if they seem cool, maybe talk to them and maybe become friends. as opposed to Twitter where you're just shouting into the abyss, and/or just talking directly to friends. VR is way better for meeting totally random people, even if you have social anxiety like i do 3. if you ever feel uncomfy, u can always just mute people or leave (:

I found the experience to be so weird. I tried talking to random people and it was mostly all nervous conversations with everyone as clueless as I was. People would direct me to the same rooms over and over and I would explain that I had been in them and they were not that exciting. I had what sounded like a 10 year old bag on me about my internet connection and say "you need to stop using mcdonalds wifi and get a life" because my connection was bad at the time. LOL If you made it age restricted and ushered the kiddies off to their own metaverse and made some hobby rooms and specific discussion areas it might be kind of interesting but now its just kind of sad.

I personally love what his channel is becoming. I loved the Ukulele video and the race video. I like seeing more of him being himself. Commentary is fun, and surely he can keep on that, but I like what he’s doing now. He’s growing up and he’s not hiding it. Age is not a bad thing.

They didn't miss it. It will be a thing. It takes time to make these systems work. Even VR chat wasn't great in it's early days. It's coming. You will one day be able to take any avatar through any game you play. Quest has only been out for a few years. It's a toddler. Not a full grown product. We aren't 10 years in the future...we are still at the beginning steps. Chill. Enjoy the ride.
