As a disabled person, I actually kind of like having the elevator be down stairs in this build. It feels very dystopian, like the architects have zero care for its citizens and simply installed this elevator for convenience instead of necessity. The imagery of a down only elevator next to a flight of stairs that go up is very powerful. Bonus points if it's out of order.

I got an idea for the elevator. Since it is a dystopian city, the elevator should stop half a block higher or lower than the floor, because of bad maintenance. The corporation made the elevator to be able to say they care about inclusiveness, but they only care about looking like they care.

So the funny thing about the red sand shop: it used to have prices. They were on signs that got removed as part of Grian's HermitPermit Challenge. That's what happens when you cut corners to get out of building the back of your base. lol

I think it would be neat to incorporate a "prop hunt/hide and seek" game into the city. With the custom pumpkins, you could have a set number of prop disguises for the other hermits to wear. Use limited durability bows and spectral arrows as ammunition or set up specified a time limit. You could even incorporate hiding spots activated by secret levers or buttons.

if cub is making custom fireworks for everyone, and joel is doing his fight club thing. you could totally make an arena with a floor of hoppers that picks up the losers sword, name the swords something specific and do some redstone to automatically fire the winners fireworks in the arena!

I'm wondering how filtering non-stackable items by name would be possible I don't think it is? i'll test if allays check nbt and update this reply update: allays do not care about the name of the sword, instead having a uniquely named token for each of the players would work - such as a iron nugget as iron nuggets can be sorted with a conventional item sorter

Put some paper in the corners of the metro station on the floor in invisible item frames to dirty it up. Also maybe, I don't know if this is allowed, but it might be a cool multiverse thing if allowed: maybe get some Scarland things (balloons, popcorn, sodas, etc) and have Cleo put them in armor stands around the metro but in broken down battered places (like a sad set of balloons just hovering over the floor in a corner (maybe near a trashcan) and popcorn and sodas just tossed on the ground (however Cleo does her magic) and some in invisible item frames. This is such a fun build idea, I love what you are doing! I can't wait to see how you dirty up the place!

Attempt two to help Impulse with bartering system: Impulse! A hopper line can only keep up with 1 piglin's bartering output. 2+ piglins overloads the system. "Best" (simplest for output) is to stand them on powdered snow with curse-of-binding leather boots, then have an ice line + item filters + slime block pushers (or hopper minecarts) to sort the output of the bartering. Edit after watching video: yes still correct, I tested using maximum rate of barter (piglins are dropped a new ingot when they finish trading old one). This suggests bottleneck for impulseSV is probably input rate of gold...but if he increased rate to maximum one piglin then bottleneck would once again be hopper speed.

The Quartz Quarry I think that would be a cool name for the courts shop. A quarry is a place where stone or other minerals have been extracted from the earth. I feel like that name really fits the theme of the shop.

Reply to 20:18... You could potentially make use of amethyst blocks and purple shulkers to highlight the locations of the items. As it would fit straight in with the geode theme anyways. While this is not the case in Minecraft, quartz in real life is also quite common in purple.

About the pre-m. Dias: Cleo yoinked docs villagers, doc told her to share profits from books that came from this villagers with him. She didnt, he set up a trap which deleted the villagers, so cleo got her own. Later, she named some diamonds pre-m. Diamonds and "paid" doc his part of the shared profit with them (gave them to him in a chest ) So unless they have circulated already, doc was your customer

Ah the old Pressure Plates are Lava phobia. 😅 Looking good. For the run-down/dystopia look, I would recommend Pearl's tunnel from last season. There's some great use of simple blocks and colors to imply a story.

I would not recommend calling those rolls of grass by their actual name, because there are Brits on the server for whom that word is less than PG. "Lawn in a box" is a great name to use instead.

Love the attention to detail, i think if you're able to add vandalized/torn up posters in some way it could really add to the run-down feel. Also every metro I've ever been in has suspicious liquids on the floor somewhere, so even some staining or something may help give that feel.

I like building villager stalls like that, I usually do a butcher behind some kind of lunch counter, pro tip use honey blocks as a floor to keep your villagers from jumping over the counter.

I’m loving how the Metro is coming along! I love the aesthetic of it, though I do agree that it needs to be grungier. Maybe add water dripping from the ceiling in some spots, and some large cracks in the walls? Anyways, I always love seeing what new builds and shenanigans the hermits get into. For the brown wool, Wool Street is full of dogs...all the time...with nowhere to "go". Could set up a prank popup shop for brown wool at Wool Street where it's just one big pile of "compost". Let that simmer for a couple days before supplying the actual brown-wool stall.

For the metro you should add an abandoned older area kind of like new york cities abandoned metro. Maybe in the game it could be used as a shortcut for the race kind of like what you would see in a classic racing video game

The grass block shop could be called Blades of Glory; it could be built on a two-or-three block tall platform that looks like the top of a grass block, and the walls of the building itself could be shaped like actual blades of grass. The tagline could be "We're Terraformidible!"

Track should start in the subway and the veer off into other underground environments, each with their own Easter eggs and hidden lore eg; sewer with mutant animals, deep underground lab with futuristic experiments, bunker with family of radiated mutants, ancient hidden cave/Ravine with troglodyte civ, underground revolutionary group about to over throw the cyberpunk city.

You could have the start be a pressure plate that released a diamond block over a hopper at the end, but with spider webs for delay. If the player completes the course in time, they win the block, if not its recycled into the system. Way points could be ways to increase the time or delay before the diamond block is collected.

It would be cool if the checkpoint signals were some kind of subway sound like the doors opening or closing, a train horn if it's still "active", or even just an ominous rumble (it sounds like an approaching train, but it might be the tunnel quaking because it's unstable).

Maybe use snow layers for the metro ramp, that way you can make the slope more gradual than using slabs and stairs.

The storage chests for the bartering farm have a huge storage cap. It's enough of one that you could justify putting a lockable hopper in place to keep things flowing by auto dropping into a single non-flowing lava source block. Because your system has the filter it does, the hoppers flowing into a garbage disposal is a fine way to keep the ones you get too many excesses of from clogging things. Having a comparator that tells you with a visual indicator in sight of the afk spot when you've completely filled the quartz chest that fills last is another way to help keep things flowing smoothly with less clogging.

A way you could make the metro station a bit more dank is when bdubs builds his build up above have a couple slabs with water above that have water dripping down. Plus you could add cracked stone and such along with mossy stone

You might want to talk to Cleo, she may be able to help you use Armor Stands to make a Ramp. Slabs on Armor stands at angles is what I think will help you build a ramp. Just a thought, keep up the great work. And good luck in MCC today.

When plotting the race coarse remember, since it’s under ground you aren’t limited to just one axis. You can have the path go up and down and overlap itself.

23:03 Cleo stole a bunch of Doc's villagers, then they agreed to share the profits from selling the books. But Cleo decided to sell drinks and give the books for free to the people buy the drinks. So Doc killed the villagers. Then Cleo decided to give Doc the share of the profits from before the killing.

Maybe the easiest way to do the race is you put a simple timer that people activate at the start, then if they finish the race before the timer ends they get a ticket 🎟 where they activate it, if they don’t then they are at the start and can do it again, instead of having to backtrack

I think you should swap which turnstiles are labeled entrance and exit. That way the entrance ones are on the side where the race starts and the exit ones are on the side where it ends. Everything looks really great so far by the way!

You should make the exit side of the Metro door on the other side so when you go in the entrance to the train the door is on the left and when you leave through the exit turn style it’s on the left too.

If the underground course is meant to eventually loop back to the beginning, you should probably switch the entrance and exit gates since the course ends at the entrance area. Also, you will often see divisions within a station to control the flow of inbound/outbound passengers. In your station, Hermits would go downstairs on the right, past the information booth and "ticket kiosks" before entering the train platform. Returns would come out and immediately flow up the stairs to the surface. Hopefully I'm explaining this coherently. Plus, those 20 diamonds you got from Cleo are sales from a shop. You should add them to your ledger.
