im a middle child and its a NIGHTMARE !!!!!! im glad to hear this news ! No child should feel what its like to be the middle child. middle child syndrome is PAINFUL !!! we are the ones left aside !

I’m a middle child but we’re always forgotten but not many people realize that we are the piece maker, the one who negotiates, the ones that solve problems their own way with our own twist, but yet we are forgotten, we feel the need to do extra things and overwork for only 1/4 of the attention that our siblings get, it’s not fair! Only 10% of middle children, their best relationship, is with one of their parents, we always get hammy-downs, sometimes we’re ignored, but sometimes we are a ghost, no one realizes that we are the peacemaker and the negotiatiters( totally a real word ;-; ) our family relies on us, but doesn’t appreciate us, without us, our households would be a mess! But we are not appreciated enough, we are being third wheeled T-that was long :o
i totally agree im a middle child, and for years i've been through so much pain and hurt regarding many things, very painful. i've always felt as if im so in a rush to grow up and turn 18 to get more freedom and to not have the feeling of being treated like nothing. the middle children really do go through a lot throughout their lives being mistreated plays a big role.
im a middle child and i got a funny story for you when i was 8yr every day i go to school by myself and need to take a long ride to go home i was lost and almost got adopted by the driver i gave my mother's number to the driver to call her but she's not answering for several times after 1h they decide to look where i live and we found it (we just moved in so i haven't adjust yet or quite know where i live) after i got home i just saw them sleeping peacefully they didn't even bother to worry that her 8yr daughter still wasn't home at 6pm and almost got adopted by a total stranger ps. i usually go home at 3pm sharp cuz the end of our school is 2:00 pm. so yeah it's not actually funny it actually hurts i didn't bother telling them cuz they will just get mad at me for forgetting where my street is. sorry if my grammar is wrong.. i just want to vent
good. stop having three kids. a lot of middle children are messed up and resentful. we weren’t asked to be brought into this world and treated like shit
What all of you don't understand is that being a middle child makes you way more independent and strong than your siblings and you just have to accept the fact that you won't and probably never will get the same attention that was given to your siblings from your parents, and guess what?? YOU DON'T NEED IT!!!!! YOU DO NOT NEED YOUR PARENTS ATTENTION!!! focus on YOUR OWN LIFE, build a future for yourself with or without a partner and just respect your parents despite their errors.
How come I get the same amount or more responsibilities than the oldest but when it comes to my needs and feels I get less attention and love ? Tired of this pain. I just want to leave
I am the second born among the four of my siblings. My two little siblings and older sister get more attention than me despite me being talented and working hard which sucks because I do all these things but never get noticed ✌️
Iam middle child of my family. I always feel like I am the only garbage in my family. Nobody gives me attention, I am always being ignored and forgotten by my family. Sometimes I want to kill myself. Why everyone ignore me? WHY?!! Is born into this world is my sin????
OKAY everyone tell me the truth are you like the forgotten one all the time like my story is I was left at the mall and it took my family 4h to remember me and I was just sitting with a police officer and my mom would not pick up the phone. But like you are the forgotten one until it comes to school chores or grades. Like I’ll come home and my family will act like I don’t exist until my dads like “Bell why the fuck did you not do the dishes” UMMMM I WAS NOT TD TO. Then he’s like your brother is a good kid why do you rely on me so much. BRO... I DID NOT EXIST UNTIL 1 MINUTE AGI WHEN YOU ASKED ME TO DO THEM DISHES. Then My little sister will fail a math test and they will be like “ awww you’ll do better next time” and I get a b- and they are like “your suck a disappointment” but then when you are doing something right or they are confused they are like “ what’s the WiFi” and you respond but they don’t hear you... They even forgot my Birthday

Both best friend and cousin only had half siblings through their respective biological fathers' later marriages. In said later marriages, best friend has twin sisters (b. 2006), whereas my cousin has two brothers (b. 2001 and 2002) and two sisters (b. 2002 and 2007).
