Can't describe the atomosphere it this gig. It was their first UK gig I think, everyone there had found them through youtube, everyone knew every track. Best I have been to. Thanks for the upload.
Sunset is a truly magical song. One of several songs from the midnight that capture the bittersweetness of nostalgia but still can be uplifting, energizing, and hopeful. I can say that listening to this song, along with Never Stop (Fm-84 & ollie Wride) has produced feelings of ecstasy :)
I came so close to being here for this show. A DJ I know bought a ticket but had other commitments so he couldn’t come, so he wanted to deliver his ticket to me so I could go. He slacked off big time, because by the time he “had free time to send it” it was mere a few nights until the performance, and I needed to book a good cheap place to stay, and to cut it so close to the performance, just like everything went wrong. So gutted, because The Midnight have been my indirect antidepressants these last few months, and the euphoric carefree vibes of their music has helped me mentally through some tough times. Just hope to god I can get tickets for the Manchester show in November, just hope they’re still available when I get paid next, because when I do, I’m getting myself a ticket, because I’m gonna see this incredible band perform live in front of my eyes before I die if it’s the last frickin’ thing I do!
it is so positive music ! so different as the music as I was listen in the 80th (But : never look back ! :) now, it has so much feelings, so hopefully and warm. It is so great, that a lot of young people has fun with these good music and band. I Bless You !
their inspiration is 80s synth and 80's movies if you watch their official music videos they feature clips from 80s movies such as "Jason" which features clips from "Friday the 13th" and jason voorhees as well as "comeback kid" and "gloria" which features clips from back to the future.
@@arcanekand yes, I've seen em all. The one only video that give me that tear of joy is that music video by, "The Midnight - The Explorer", From cartoons shows to commercial clip, that's what I grew up on. All those oldschool clips made me relieved my childhood where there was not a single worry in the world, especially in a time like right now with the whole Coronavirus bs goin on.
You'll love it. They were good, not great as I've seen some great Synthwave bands in the last three years but they were still worth going to see. . Still have tickets to November too ;-)
@@deadlock7861 Yeah she was announced for the two London shows, Santa Ana & Oakland. I actually had no idea until they brought her out. My head exploded haha
@@ShikariHybryd I saw a few days before that she was gonna be there so it kinda spoiled it for me, but I didn't mind as I got to hear Jason and Lost & Found with her singing. She is so stunning, in all ways
I can't stand Flores' stages presence even if she has a great voice. She's always in "sex appeal" mode and I hate it, all the gestures and poses on rotation every 10 seconds.
