So upset I missed thia live show because this was one of my best of 2023. I haven't listen to any author interviews but amongst all the grief conversations, I think its so interesting at how there seems to be so many conversations on the gay experience, especially in Leena and M's parts. Not only did we see judgement on LGBTQIA+ from an outside view, but the "biting" and M in general speak so much on how gays look down on other gays and the support isn't always there. The "biting" to me directly was making a statement on fetishism and how depending on how its presented many Gays or outside parties will put people down and make them feel monstrous.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ One of my top two books I read last year. On some days it's my favourite read, honestly a tie with And Then She Fell with Alicia Elliott. I absolutely LOVED the audiobook for Monstrillio. I listened to it twice one right after the other.
