If she is there, you will meet her, until that comes improve yourself. I mean build a solid career, get your education, build your finances, set goals and achieve them.
As a kid, I used looked at the poster pasted on my big brother's room and it was a young girl with casual wear in the Labyrinth movie and despite my young age - I always thought that she is one of the most beautiful girl. Years later I now know that she is non other than Jean Connelly. A beauty that could charm even an innocent young boy. 😍
1 year ago Faked our deaths Lit a match Closed the door Waited for the flash Greyhound Station we paid in cash Miss Lazarus, we're coming back They say it's darkest before the dawn We've been in this town for far too long They say it's darkest before the dawn We're moving on Sunset No regrets First chance last dance Stuck in the middle Even bad girls know good love You taste so sweet it hurts a little Make our home Where we stand One suitcase And half a plan Follow the wolves And sing along Past the voices To the Song

Just saw the sign for "compact discs" wow that was forever and a day ago. To anyone who was born after Mp3's were invented this will sound odd, but going to music stores back in day and seeing rows and stacks of tapes and CD's were just fun. So much more magical than the on-demand crap today. Like records before them tapes, CDs, tangable recordings just had life to them.
@@44excalibur Guess what, you missed the point 🤪 The point is they don't have them like they used to, no one has rows and rows of CDs, cassettes, and records. Yes, some places still sell some, but no one has thousands of copies in stock like they used to. Most record stores are long since gone, mega stores like Best Buy helped phase out Sam Goody and Tower Records (I know because I used to work for Best Buy and learned they owned Sam Goody, Cocounts, and a bunch other big brands). Now 97% of content is purchased digitally through online services, record stores and music departments like that, haven't existed for the better part of 20 years (and thats on the tail end of them being phased out entirely). Cassettes haven'teven been sold as a major medium in over 25 years. You still walk around with a walkman, or Cd player? You use a CD player or MP3 player in your car? The world has changed completely, that was my point.
@@KaDuWin Ah, Tower Records. Sam Goody. The Wall. Yep, I do remember, and I know it's not the same today, but you gotta take what you can get. I'm still hoping for a CD and vinyl revival, since they seem to be making a comeback.
@@44excalibur Vinyl has already made a revival. CD's are far less likely now that digital content no longer loses its detail in the highs and lows of the sounds spectrum which is the reason MP3s were able to compress music to such a small size. Now the frequency has been restored to CD quality with new formats that have succeeded MP3s. Records on the other hand made a revival because they had sound presence and warmth that CD's, tapes, and digital formats just couldn't recreate. However its usually only audiophiles who bith purchase and or xan afford newer turntables, heads, record oriented equipment. Audiophiles are people who are music enthusiasts and try to listen to the most accurate music reproductions. Typically their stereo and entertainment equipment is extremely expensive, ranging from hundreds to tens of thousands for CD players, stereo wires, speakers, turn tables, radio tuners, etc.
@BigSexe Me too, buying a new tape or CD was always fun. It got me out of the house, the environment in the store was always fun, and I could never buy only one album, even of that's all O went to the atore for. Thankfully most of my tapes are still good buf I dont listen to them any more, my music taste changed.
Check this guy out. He’s really good. Does guitar improv on a lot of these New Synth songs. Enjoy! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-NQh-TmmFDPE.html

I'm not that old but this song reminds me of simpler times in my life like actually talking to girls in person at first sight to get thier numbers .....and actually going out with friends to chill at the mall ..ahhh simpler lovelier times...I'm honestly depressed for the new generation because of all this technology 😪

This whole thing is just euphoric: the wonderful song by The Midnight, the fun they have, their dance, not to mention Jennifer Connelly's stunning beauty. The regular guy gets to kiss the pretty girl.

This song makes me feel like everything in life is beautiful, and everything I want to achieve in my life is also possible. If you are reading this, I wish you happiness and good health 🥰❤️
When the masses become preoccupied with technology n fake news n socialism n communism it destroys a generation n a country that stood for the free western world
Only once in my 18 years of living I got goosebumps while listening a song. It was 5 years ago when I listened to Pink Floyd’s ‘mother’. Today is the second time. And I just. Wow❤️
Hooooof. Haven't listened to this in a few years. Lost someone I thought was THE one and this was one of our jams. No tears dropped just now, but damn was I close.
I’ve just finished watching Career Opportunities (where the footage is taken from) and, oddly enough, both this clip and the Mr. Kitty versions do a much better job of delivering a love story between these characters than the actual feature. It’s a classic case study in great editing and a carefully selected soundtrack. The film itself is OK, but Hughes’ weakest script, which is why it’s not as well known as his other work.
I have to disagree with you about that 'love story' bit... It isn't a love story, and this song isn't a love song... It's more about that very momentary childish desires and behaviours we all have and long for to have... To just drop everything and be young and careless again... That moment in our lives which the most innocently beautiful and yet unattainable...
I was a bit disappointed when I actually watched the movie and this song wasn’t in it- I’ve gotten so used to this video, it was hard to imagine it differently!
@@alexandergray7434 Yeah, well I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the movie is much older than this song. It's just a very 80's style song, so it sounds like it could be older.
4:21 To me, the sequences of Jennifer’s eyes are the essence of the whole video. They carry the invitation that is also at the heart of this song-to escape the mundane world and be transported to a dreamworld of intimate love, freely playing and discovering without any interference. Jennifer’s eyes here are like genuine and potent soul portals, beckoning us to remember and retrieve that beauty of life and connection that is our reality beyond the grasp of this glitchworld of survival and separation.
Recently discovered this song and it makes me feel nostalgia for a time I never lived in. Great song honestly, and I've had it stuck on repeat for the last few days.
Intro] I just feel like I've been stuck here my whole life There must be something else out there, waiting, you know? Just for us We could run away Just leave... Never look back I don't even care where we go Just far away from here I'll come with you [Verse 1] Faked our deaths Lit a match Closed the door, Waited for the flash Greyhound Station, we paid in cash Miss Lazarus, we’re coming back [Pre-Chorus] They say it's darkest before the dawn We've been in this town for far too long They say it's darkest before the dawn We're moving on, we're moving on, we're moving on [Chorus] Sunsets, no regrets First chance last dance Stuck in the middle Even bad girls know good to love You taste so sweet it hurts a little [Verse 2] Make our home where we stand One suitcase and half a plan Follow the wolves and sing along Past the voices To the song [Pre-Chorus] They say it's darkest before the dawn We've been in this town for far too long They say it's darkest before the dawn We're moving on, we're moving on, we're moving on [Chorus] Sunsets, no regrets First chance last dance Stuck in the middle Even bad girls know good to love You taste so sweet it hurts a little [Instrumental Break] [Chorus] Sunsets, no regrets First chance last dance Stuck in the middle Even bad girls know good to love You taste so sweet it hurts a little
This is perfection. What a feel good song. Amazing vocals, keyboards, and guitar work. If by the end Jennifer Connelly has not stolen your heart, then you haven't been watching
Saw this movie as a kid, gave me my first celeb girl crush on Jennifer Connelly. I always thought she would be a perfect Tifa Lockhart in a Final Fantasy 7 movie back in her prime.
Most comments I've seen said this video clip with the Midnight song over it is better than the movie itself. After watching the trailer, probably going to agree. This video gives me vibes of a time when I was young and the world wasn't seemingly as nuts as it is now. The biggest problems in your little world were school, crushes, homework, friends and what snacks to eat.
*Omg this fire is pure magic! The fantasy feels so real, it's just gushing out 80s nostalgia & I adore it! Face it, we all want a romance just like this!!* 🌌
I have watched this music video so many times, I can’t watch the movie and not hear this in my head, nor can I listen to this song without seeing this video!
This song is everything. Thank you so much for the re-upload. This was my first The Midnight song, with this being the first actual video I saw it in. Instantly fell in love. Fast-forward 2 years, I have taken 4 flights (2 round trips) to go see The Midnight live. I even got to meet Tim and Tyler last year. So this might be a kind re-upload to you... to me it's one small piece of my lovestory for the Midnight.
I spent a year down the road from this Target in South Atlanta. I'd stop by and just look around. Some of girls would dress up like her every once in awhile. That was a hot summer.
this is the coolest thing since the 80's. right now on a planet 40 light years away advanced aliens are watching us enter the decade of the 80's and have no idea they are witnessing the grandest decade of human civilization.
This song I have listened to over and over again. It seems to being about an unknown, strong, mysterious but yet familiar feeling deep in the heart. It's like I am trying to remember something beautiful from a long time ago that I can not grasp completely. It's beauty, youth, strength, emptiness of time, conjuring of past memories, the fading but yet renewal of fond memories through time. Its a calling from the echos of time to our hearts and we are trying to define it but we can only do this partially with our deepest emotions/feelings as we try to remember. It brings me into a time that I do not know but yet feel as if I do somehow. It's a gentle touch from the past that calls at my soul, deep inside as if I am waiting for a key to unlock something special. I feel like I can live in my past in my head and time of the present goes by so fast and when I open my eyes again the voice, caress of a timelessness fades and I have to go back and do it all again because it's where I want to be. Conjuring of time that has past. Where we walk we can not fade at least in our thoughts. Like a wondrous starry clear night, warm, quiet, space, stillness in the soul. Enjoying the mystery and looking upon it in awe. The calm, the peace and connection.
Thanks for re-uploading this. This is like, my favorite video on the internet. To the point that I have it downloaded. But now I can share it with friends online.
I discovered the midnight quite recently, this song is one of my favorites. The video is so fitting. I was baffled about em making it private. Tnx for the upload.
Ahhhhhh the 80's, damn what a good time. Spent my teens in the 80's and man, I sure do miss it. This song just screams that decade. Reminds me of new relationships, cruising, parties, staying up all night with the girl you've had a crush on for a while. If you didn't know the 80's, I'm sorry.
Man something about the 80s makes it feel so nostalgic to people yound and old. Maybe because it was a transition period between the analog age and the digital age.
I wish I could give this a heart instead of just a thumbs up. This goes so well with that song that I will never be able to think of one without the other. Very well done
