It's 2:33 am and my toes are still wiggling, vibing to this song. It's been quite a long time since I last listen to The Midnight's songs. Their songs never fail to make me feel something 💯
Keep your head up It gets better, life wouldn’t be life without the lowest lows but you’re bound to come up for a breath of fresh air. I hope you’re doing alright.
*_John 10.9 I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture. 10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly._* _Jesus Christ loves you. Only Jesus Christ saves. Repent and be saved. God bless you, and the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all._
Just bought tickets to see The Midnight in Bloomington, can't wait to hear these songs live. Tried to describe synthwave to a friend, best description I can come up with was "this sounds like how I pretend to remember what the 80s sounded like, but feels just like what growing up then was like." Fantastic band, the midnight is bound to blow up.
I think thats a great distinction actually. The Midnight and bands like them don't sound like the 80's, they sound like the faded memories of 80's that have been made vivid again.

@@__-fm5qv This comment, and the one by @No_Use_For_A_Name1981 resonated with me! You articulated what I felt! Interesting for me, the Outfield, an actual 80s band and in particular, this song was the memory evoked by The Midnight. It's a pity the Outfield did not spawn much more than this song that I grooved to. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-XtcCwl_sUWw.html
Born in 80' . I remember the 80's and 90's . I remember Tyson getting ko'd by Douglas, the Wall Coming down and seeing such joy on tv it was epic . For Some reason those are the first two things that come to mind when I think about major events of the 80s that I could remember .
i was 7 when the wall came down, and in germany lol my dad was in the army. best years of my childhood spent in the 80s. happy times and this music brings it all back
Girl at my work I was told was a good singer. I try to get people to sing to me all the time and nobody does, especially her. I told her "one day I will get you to sing to me". Long story short because of this song, I won. Thank you
Love, love, love this! Only found this song today for the first time. Takes me back to the good old days. God I miss that era. I’ll give anything to go back to that decade! 80’s and 90’s were the best!!
I discovered the midnight like most people, accidentally. After about a month of being absolutely obsessed I said to myself "if they ever gig over here, I'm going" Sure enough a week later I saw the tickets on sale and went to their sellout at the O2 academy. Unbelievable night. But this song in particular blew the roof off the place! Not a single person wasn't singing it at the top of their lungs. I had tears in my eyes from how good the night was, but more that it had to end. If you ever get the chance to see them live, do it. I'll be going every time they're here. Much love from the UK 💜
**For Guitarists/Musicians** Throughout the entire song you can play Bb, Am, Dm, F! Also you can try substituting Am7 or C for the Am. If you want to try a fun twist, throw in a G chord instead of the F-it works in certain parts, such as during the last guitar solo section, and as a spice-bringer at the end of various sections in the song-Have fun! Edit: I’ve now learned that if you feel extra spicy you can turn that exotic G chord into a G major sliding to A major at certain easter egg spots in the song-such as at the very end of the guitar solo, you can slam that G and then slide to the A before returning to that satisfying Bb maj. Woof!
There is only one happy place for me now, its your music ! You did it guyz. I wish this song never ends but who am trying to fool, everything have to end one day, only if we know when.
this song makes me want to scream sing and jump around outside when its getting darker. found this band almost 2 years ago and i still have the same intense goosebumps, all their songs are timeless I will still vibe in a wheelchair

amazing song, amazing, it gets back to me to my childhood, I was borned in 1975, electronic music, drums...... just memories, we will take it to our ends
Thank you, Keith, for holding my hand and walking around the empty streets of BGC with me as the sunrise painted the bleak buildings orange. I wasn't ready to commit, and your friend wanted to keep you at arm's length, but for a brief moment in time, I pictured us taking long walks together and laughing while you taught me how to drive. "You taste so sweet, it hurts a little." You'll always be in the back of my mind, and I will forever think of what could have been.
"I could see, like I've been stuck here my whole life There must be something else out there waiting, you know? Just for us We could run away Just leave, never look back I don't even care where we go Just far away from here I'll come with you" I really wanna know what the quote is from at the intro of the song.
This is the kind of music that makes you think your life could be a certain way, feel a certain way, but deep down you know you will never get to experience it that way.
IDC if nobody knows what I'm talking about: This came on my playlist on floor 199 of FF14's Palace of the Dead After a month of attempts solo, I finally did it. This is my victory song
I guess I know what makes us nostalgic even though we didn't even live through the 80s era. My theory is because growing up we were exposed to songs and movies from the 80s and 90s era quite often. That's why it feels nostalgic even though we haven't lived that era. Btw I was born in 94
My theory is that synthwaves are often played on a nostalgic vibe in a movie scene(or something else other than movies). Our minds then creates a memory whenever we hear synthwave then suddenly feels nostalgic after. Btw Im a Gen Z, this music genres sounds new to me even tho I know its from 80's disco thats why I like it yet I still not know why I feel nostalgic
Only just discovered this group, yep.. I live under a rock. Was listening to a remix from an progressive house mix, Checked the source and obviously the original is the best. Is it me, or is this group is understand?
I lived this era this song easily takes you back it’s a perfect 80’s film never shot or the perfect 80’s song never written with someone like Andrew McCarthy or Eric Stoltz as the lead and some stunner like Demi Moore as the leading lady fantastic feelings and fantastic memories I hope everyone enjoys this as much as I do ! I ❤️80’s
We could get in the car and just run away from all of this. Playing this song as we cross the bridge with the top down and our hands in the air as we say farewell to our ordinary lives.
In the sunny summer of 1984 I was 13 looking for a game for my new C64, not so popular yet, listening to great music every time I walked into a shop (after several days I found the game Superpipeline, somebody probably remember this game). This song gives me the vibes of that time, but it also sounds modern. Great song and great guitar solo (actually, I don't understand If it is a real guitar. The first at the beginning seems to be a synth but the solo at the end seems to be a real guitar. However great song and great band).
Ever tripped on ecstasy & shrooms at the same damn time with your Venezuelan boyfriend on your left and your Kentucky ex-boyfriend on your right while hiking through Electric Forest only to stumble up on this epic band performing arguably their best concert? Just me? K
