The MiG 19 at 9.3 has been a blessing given to us by all aspect missiles being introduced at 9.7 and 10.0. War Thunder high tier BRs are completely garbage right now, but this is one plane that gets to benefit from it.
This video will showcase how I deal with the A10s (accounting for the vast majority of all-aspect carriers you encounter) and covers why I believe the MiG 19 is so powerful. In the future I may do another MiG-19 video going into more detail around how to abuse its incredibly thrust to weight ratio.

I find that the crappy early missiles like 9Bs can be really useful to decoy all aspect missiles in a headon, I've even had them decoy the all aspect and then hit the guy behind flying straight. Only really works from that immediate frontal position, but it's saved me a couple of times where I'm already in range of a 9L even if I turn and go cold.

Nice video, but against f5s, im sure that the mig 19 can just outclimb them. If the energy levels are fairy equal of course.

I'm currently flying the german Mig 19 and the thing flies like a destroyer of worlds; the times I've died to enemy guns can honestly be counted on one hand and always comes down to my own incompetence. However, I cant get my KD above 3 in the thing because if two or more players with higher-tiered missiles mark you for death, the best option just seems to be landing and J-ing out. How do you handle those situations? Taking 2:50 as an example, if one or two A-10s decide that they want to kill you, I feel the Mig just dies there?

Yeah achieving above a 3kd while solo queuing is gonna be pretty tough because its hard to always avoid the missiles. And yeah if 2 of those a10s had turned around theres a good chance I get missiled, but honestly luckily they rarely do turn around.
