I like how badass Accelerator is but still cares for others that are dear to him. Animation for characters is slightly different but in a good way. How brutal is gonna be this season?

In the timeline, this is basically between Index 1 and Index 2, sometime in early to the middle of September. This is also in between Railgun S and Railgun T

Also, at the end of Index 2, the students were wearing their winter uniforms (usually consisting of jackets/long sleeved tops) already in early October. Here, you saw the Misaka clones wearing the Tokiwadai summer uniforms still (short sleeves)

This series seems to be canon to main series but there are some significant deviations, so if you feel weirded out by some scenes, this is why.

Characters look really different because the manga's art style was very different compared to the other stories (new manga artist at the time). Also this episode is technically filler because it's anime original and so are the villains in this episode, but it serves as a good introduction for people who are new to Raildex. Everything after this episode is manga canon.

You are now observing the biggest anomaly in the Index series. The worst manga with the best anime adaptation. If you pick up Index 3 after watching Accelerator and Railgun T, you might be a little shocked at the sudden deterioration of… basically everything. But what do you expect when trying to cram a story from 9 books into 26 episodes. Anyway, I'd advise watching after Accelerator Railgun T as it chronologically takes place during Index 2.

Same thoughts but railgun T would be the best last to watch though as I think it is the best one and I ended on to be fair ww3 was cool and I guess not as bad of an end

@@karmatick4418 I have to agree. The only reason I suggested watching Railgun T first is because of the order in the story. For example, Saten's solo adventure during the Dream Ranker Arc (Railgun T) which ends during the Battle Royal Arc (Index III) (if you've watched it, you know what I'm talking about). Although now that I think about it, no matter what you start with, you will still need knowledge from both series to learn the whole story. And I have to agree that Railgun T is a nice way to end the series.
