I came of age in NJ during the 80's-90's punk/hardcore boom (NJHC!xNYHC!). I was there for/played at CBGB's, City Gardens, Fastlane, The Pony and all the rest. Played drums in punk-hardcore outfits, worked many shows at the door/security and with as much crazy shit I've seen AND done...stage dives and slammin' pits are friggin' great but in this vid it's all about the guy in the wheelchair at 2:34. Made his day, I'm sure, and good for it. ALWAYS look out for those who need it most! ALWAYS look out for your people. And those that weren't there just don't know. Much respect to AOD, Breakdown, Raw Deal/Killing Time, Sick of it all, Social Decay, and ALL the rest for doing what you did.
That almost brought tears to my eyes seeing that dude cruise across the stage in his wheelchair. He HAD to have felt like he was "on top of the world" at that very moment. I love seeing s**t like that. I seem to remember seeing some other dude in a wheelchair at another show who was actually "riding the crowd". Everyone was passing him around, in his wheelchair, so he could "ride the crowd" and he was smiling ear to ear...........I can't remember where I saw that at though. IDK if it was a show that I was AT or if I saw it in a video??? Very cool, either way.
must of seen them 20 times in Boston. That was the best part although you could go through a few hundred dollars in eyeglasses per tour with the stage diving
If this is clips from more noise tour Feb 11 92 @slims in SF I was there did more stage dives that night than anyone went to the show in San Jose at Club FX the following night and got thrown out club for stage dive ! They shut down set for me to be let back in !!! But unfortunately the club has NO STAGE DIVE ALLOWED AND THEY HAD TO PLAY OR LET DOWN REST FANS ! I had best night ever both shows
Used to jam to this song all of the time back in the 90s. To this day, this is still my favorite music video. Bosstones forever. I still miss Nate and Dennis tho.
Because Boston was great at one time from shows to raves from like I said shows even in Springfield mass at fat cats or in Northampton at Pearl street seeing spring heel jack all the time or raves at asylum night club or them in Hartford at municipal cafe were just great. You don't get this kinda fun anymore I'm soon to be 37 shits boring now I want to be 15 again plus anybody remember Jones soda?
I was at this show at the Strand in Providence RI. It was the end of good Bosstones shows and beginning of frat boys going to hardcore shows. So sad to say.
Hey! I resemble that comment! Only show I ever stage dove at since I'm 6'6" and never wanted to inflict that on anyone but it was so packed I figured it was now or never. I got lambasted by Dickey. Lesson learned
Kind of shitty they were a one hit wonder band. I mean Someday I Suppose and Rascal King made it pretty big but they have so many great tracks, and they're still kicking sweet records. Love to the Bosstones all the way from Puerto Rico! Woo!
Willianatior The Bosstones are definitely not a one hit wonder. These guys have been at it since 1983 and have put out 10 studio records with many dozens of amazing songs... a truly magical band!
@HannibaltoRome Hell Yeah Dude as long as Dicky and Mr.Adam Carolla are still around keeping the Bosstones Strong Dicky will always and truly will be the man!!! Till the day he dies he is the King of Boston for sure! GET IT ON!!
@rodzoner Man what the hell happened? Hip hop was so great in the 90's and so was all other music. And now everything is about money, not about heart and love. I like how even the guy in the wheel chair is rolling around on stage. Everyone is there for a good time and for love, not to benefit themselves financially or gain status.
Incredible - for the worse - how fashion became all baggy + hip-hop orientated overnight between the 80s & 90s ! Did most American lads really have hair that short in the early 90s ? Over here it was all bushy 'curtains' !
