@@ghost_kinggamer can thanos really manipulate matter in such a way that Apocalypse can? He may have additional powers not routinely used but isn't that just convenient plot armor..? Like Apocalypse is a powerhouse of displayed skills. Thanos is a physical powerhouse with intelligence - who happens to have (fill in the blank) powers when convenient.

Ik kinda annoys me how he constantly downplays asguardians but loves and even said one time spider could humble all the avengers including hulk and Thor and for some reason the comic says one thing then he constructs a way to down play it's so weird

@@satanicpony644 As in, before Jason Aaron retconned the origin of Mjolnir, Odin had absolute control over the hammer. More than Thor or anyone else. So Rob saying this was a seed that Aaron built on was false. Mjolnir didn't move on it's own, Odin took control and summoned the hammer to the Destroyer Armor to fight Galactus.

Just like in Fear Itself after Thor whacked Odin once with Mjolnir Odin said something like “ drop “ and Mjolnir hit the ground while Thor was still holding it.

Galactus definitely knows who Odin was before their first fight

An Odin powered Dr Doom was the final boss in MUA, wheres Galactus was the sub-boss. And Dormammu was the sub-boss on MvC 3 where Galactus was the final boss.

Odin was outclassed by Galactus here, and 4 planet fed Galactus one shot kills Celestials who make all Skyfathers bow. Galactus > Skyfather

Dr. Paradox Nah, he one shot killed one Celestial, scattered all 3 of the others in the process. They retreated, used the power of the Celestial they killed and merged all 4 into one super Celestial. A Celestial that had to be more than the sum of its parts. Didn’t kill Galactus either as far as I can tell, as adult Franklin used kid Franklin’s power to resuscitate him.

Aaron has this tendency of writing epic fantasy characters like they are thugs from Brooklyn. It's how i feel about his Thanos Rising story. He doesn't depict the titanian Eternals like an enlightened society of mythological superhumans, he writes them like regular modern day humans who happen to have weird clothes and live on Titan.

"Then we wouldn't have the characters" is the out-of-comics argument, but I don't even know if power cosmic makes one 'omnipotent', but even 'far sight' could be tedious/tiring. There's a reason the phrase 'Galactus stirs' is used in this comic; he hibernates between feasts. It's the way predators never waste their energy and Glactus has been shown (as in this comic) to back off once what he wants is either gone or not worth the effort. He has heralds, whose use of power does not drain from his own (citation needed) do the leg work for him so he saves AS MUCH energy as he can, not wasting even a drop.

I think that’s part of the reason why Old King Thor is such a BEAST in the God of Thunder epilogue fighting off Galactus. Because unlike Odin, Thor had 3 gods backing juicing him up instead of just 2

I think something something Second expansion of Galactus’s original universe but that’s CONTRADICTED just by Knull’s origin from the void followed by Celestians fucking around and pissing Knull off leading to the Symbiotes and maybe there were Builders/Beyonders that also kicked off life once the Celestials planted their seeds on planets (yes 2 characters have origins that explicitly contradict the existence of EVERYTHING) Oh and because of the recent Avengers: No Road Home… you also have the house which sorta implies a 4th-wall meta narrative akin to “Gwenpool” where it’s literally being DRAWN by artists and authors on a higher plane of existence But also having that story focus on Olympus you also evoke the ever existing primordials of Chaos which birthed the further primordials, which further birthed the giants and titans the later of which birthed the gods with Prometheus the Titan allying with the Gods but also betraying them by making man and giving them fire… which provoked Zeus to pull an original sin with Pandora gifting her a vessel which housed all kinds of horrors and illnesses and evil knowing her of her immeasurable curiosity making it impossible for her to NOT open the damn thing (what’s it with god stories and a woman causing the downfall of mankind anyway?) BUT Black Panther’s god is sometimes depicted as Bast who is an Egyptian deity that’s MET Doctor Doom which “VERY complicated and poorly translated story short” means we also have the Egyptian’s explanation to contend with… Oh and the Nordic and traditional Christian because FUCKING GHOST RIDER OF ALL ASSHOLES MET THE ARCHANGEL MICHAEL IN A STORY INVOLVING JUDAS’ FEELINGS OF BETRAYAL SURROUNDING JESUS (GOD HIMSELF) CHRIST!!! Do you know if Odin used his Odin Force when hitting Galactus? As Rob narrated things, I think Odin didn't. Then, my argument is that if Odin had used Odin's Force against Galactus, the ultimate consequence of that battle would be both dead. What do you think of this?

@@CTimmerman In Marvel I think Borr was born from nature itself, just like Galactus. Odin is then a son of a being that came to be from the force of nature.

He did, its called a god blast I think. It uses the lifeforce of Thor as he channels it through Mjolnir. He can impact the head of a celestial If I remember correctly.

@@Valoruchiha while the godblast is totally a thing, that old comic never described his attack on galactus as such, although it did say he channeled his inner godly power through the hammer instead of just using some lightning, so it may have been a godblast

@@cheeseburgerfreddy6350 I think OP's concern is pretty warranted though. Odin shouldn't and honestly displayed by this comic can't necessarily go toe to toe with Galactus. I think in another video back in the day Rob said Galactus is on par with a Celestial. There is a story where Odin with the help of the other Skyfathers gets obliterated by the Celestials during one the host events. In this story it was just normal odin channeling everything hehad for one hit. It's sort of weird that Galactus depending on the story is either a punching bag or a God Tier character.

Thor told Odin he was gonna beat up Galactus, and Odin told Thor to beat up Galactus, so Odin not being okay with Thor beating up Galactus is just being abusive.

I honestly think Thor is stronger than silver surfer by a good measure. But by no means should Odin EVER be written as a match to galactus. Odin is a sky father. Now while that is in the upper tiers of power levels, its no where near the multiversal cosmic entity powers possessed by galactus. Writers nerf galan to make a compelling story and it's so frustrating.

Actually the surfer stated that Thor's hammer posessed more power than even he does since it contains a whole galaxy and they've fought many times with Thor either Stalemating him or getting the upper Hand so I don't agree here

They are equal. You're just judging from your MCU era point of view and have forgotten who they were before that.
