Great.. The mind is the cause of all suffering, I suffer from severe depression but when I started applying these teachings and ignoring the thoughts of the mind I found peace.. I wish the whole world was in peace❤😢
Dear friend, try to be present in every moment ,doing every action, you will see the miracles in your life. It's very difficult at first but gradually your presence will dominate and you will achieve incredibly peace within you even in horrible situations❤
I can definitely relate to this topic: "The Mind Can't Bear Silence." My first signs of awakening were a series of free-floating panic attacks when I was around 25. Looking back now I can see that my first glimpses of the true empty self resulted in my ego-self desperately seeking security, which resulted in the panic attacks. Thus the following poem I wrote, after I noticed my dog experiencing something similar when he was learning to swim: Thought I once thought I was thought. Every thought came with my name. Clearly embossed upon its silver side. No thought came which wasn't mine. I was thought and this is what I thought. Till one day no thought came. My mind was nothing Without a thought to call my own. A mind in search of an anchor thought With no thought chain or rope to haul it Up to the light of consciousness Is a mind of panic. Like when my Blue Heeler entered The sea for the first time And lost all secure footing Then thrashed the water white with all Four legs churning in terror at the void All around him, pulling him under. Then he realised, I saw in his eyes, That the nothing of water was supporting Him, perfectly, and he could swim. So too I found the thoughtless mind Is a supporting void, like the sea, And in joyous silence I may swim.
That's 100% true! When you go through this death of the ego, you are free from all suffering. You have stop the impuls to do something and endure the silence over a long time. It's hell and panic for the ego, but when the ego vanish, it's gone forever and there is peace everytime and everywhere.
As Krishnamurti said, we have inherited the mind of humankind, so the momentum, the impulse that it carries is very strong. It wants to take us along with it. Let’s let it go where it wants to, while we remain in the now. ❤
'I' 'had' a great one yesterday. 'I' was dreading an online meeting because 'I' 'hate' technical problems. The meeting came and went. The sensations abated. The memory of this remains if 'I' revisit it, but must admit noticing the absence of anxiety was quite sweet.
WOW I just finished listening to Bernado Kastrup and Alex from the you tube channel skeptiko, discussing embracing what is beyond physicalism. This was the icing on the cake, so to say. Thank you, Rupert, for sharing your aspect of me, we seem to share. Cheers from a retired soldier down under.
in order to be silence and to be as we really are, mind must be absent, while there is even an iota of the mind there can not be real silence, there is either snake or a rope, there can not be both at the same time. Subsidence of the mind comes when ones attention is focused only on oneself, the subject, the one who is aware of all the appearances, and not at any of the appearances or objective knowledge e.g. physical sense impressions like sound, sight or mental, thoughts, emotions, feelings etc. This can be accomplished by the practise of self investigation as taught by Sri Ramana Bhagavan
GVB. Let me tell you a paradoxical truth. Through experience, especially real struggle... You beckon to your "abiding self". It will come to embody you to comfort you. The "Holy Spirit" is your abiding SELF. ❤ Why don't you do some charitable service with people who have Less if you're That Restless? The Spirit will Abide in you when you experience the suffering of those you help and FEEL EMPATHY.❤ Grace Victoria.😊
Mr. Spira certainly is limited of infinite awareness continuing universal consciousness incomplete bearing minds silence penetrating the essence correctly knowing source. Krishnamurti understood the end goal. Clearly Mr. Spira's teachings are partially true and ultimately lacking proper synthesis.
How can it be that in a universe of vibration, where stillness cannot be found even in what appears as empty space, that stillness is our natural state. Even the quiet mind is vibrating. Consciousness itself is electromagnetic energy transformation. Peace is an artifact. Peace is an untroubled mind. Not a still mind. How can a philosophy be so popular yet so wrong on every front?
@@ElAsh-pc7fr You have never experienced deep sleep. Nor has anyone else. In deep sleep, the body is vibrant and alive. It is the body collective consciousness that diminishes and turns off. Cellular consciousness takes over and continues its life completing bodily functions without hesitation. There is no stillness there or anywhere else. Even death is not stillness. The fundamental elements of the body continue vibrating at their level of expression. Nothing is still. Since nothing has no existence, neither does stillness. Stillness is an artifact. As is non duality. There can only be balance, centeredness in a dualistic manifestation. That is the goal. To live centered in conscious awareness.
You are conflating stillness with a lack of vibration. A lake can be perfectly still... and yet the water is comprised of vibrating molecules. You're also making assertions that you cannot possibly know ("Consciousness itself is electromagnetic energy transformation. Peace is an artifact.") -- these are not known. And could it be you who is "wrong"?
