I have been eyeing the killdeer . Seen a lot of vids of guys using it, but none of someone actually hanging from it( not in a saddle, like if you fell from a stand). I have a hard time visualizing this saving my life.
Also, what do you recommend, G hooks or Premium leg straps. (I haven’t worn leg straps in 4 years with other saddles, even while One Sticking, but I’m thinking with one of these harnesses, either the killdeer or the mutiny I would need to have leg straps for such climbing.) The premium looks like it offers more padding underneath the legs. I’m just wondering how necessary that is.
sorry, I am just seeing this. I have only used the G-Hook Straps which keeps it very minimalist. However, if you're one sticking, you might want to upgrade them.
@@MichiganAmBushOutdoors thanks for the fast feedback. Have you used it a lot? I’m just trying to figure out why this isnt more popular or why there seems to be some negativity with using rc harnesses for tree stand hunting
@WiscoBowHNTR, I used it for two years before going to a saddle, but I still use it if I am tree stand hunting. Dryad is a small company that doesn't have the marketing budget that higher-end companies have. I haven't heard of any negative reviews, but I'm happy to answer any questions you have or send pictures of the product. Just shoot me a message on IG.
@@MichiganAmBushOutdoors it appears you can choose either style leg strap with either harness. Sorry for all the questions, I left a message for Dane last week but he hasn’t responded yet. Probably out hunting.
The Hybrid system comes with the Killdeer harness which is what I have. I have been running that harness for tree stand hunting and saddle hunting for two seasons now and really like it. The Mini Drey Kit comes with the MUTINY harness.
🤦🏻♂️ it's brutal. Sorry man. Let me know if you have any questions. I ran that as my primary saddle all year. It has a lot of pros and some cons that I'm happy to share.
