I still think Henry would be an awesome James Bond. They could do 1, just 1 movie with him as an ultra 007 to save the world.i think it would be a huge money maker!

“As a fan of Guy Ritchie I was pretty let down by this movie, and it was one of my most anticipated of the year. Going from The Gentlemen and Covenant, both excellent movies, to this nonsense is honestly baffling. I guess GR was too busy making more Gentlemen for Netflix that he kind of just phoned this one in? The writing is just BAD. Dialogue was super dumb, serious lack of clever one liners and witty banter that Ritchie movies are known for. Felt like it was written by and for 6th graders. Despite the generally light tone of the movie, there are very few (none, maybe) actually funny moments or lines. The few sorta chuckle moments are spoiled in the trailers. The actual plot is so by-the-numbers with basically no conflict or challenge to the protagonists. They go from place to place and shoot Nazis. That's it. They have pretty much no motivation other than "Nazis bad" and "Churchill said do this so let's go". And they always get what they want with minimal resistance. It's a paper-thin power fantasy but without any satisfying displays of power because everything is so easy and enemies die so quickly that it just doesn't feel real or satisfying at all. This is primarily an action movie and the action falls WAY flat. It really lacks any sort of flair or style, which again are two things I expect from Ritchie in spades. This movie feels painfully low budget despite being over 50 million. The gun play is terrible, action choreography for most of the actors is hacked together. Alan Ritchson gets good choreo and a few others occasionally do, but generally it feels like B-movie grade action scenes. And don't even get me started on the gun sounds and bullet impacts. Some of the cheesiest gun deaths I've ever seen. I had to double check that this movie was even Rated R. For a movie literally carried by guns in the marketing, the gun work is terrible. The actors look and act like they're holding toys with no recoil or muzzle flash or smoke whatsoever. The camera work is haphazard and uses quick cuts to hide a lot of bad stunt work. Sure Henry Cavil is charismatic, but he doesn't get nearly as much screen time as you'd think- and his character is so paper-thin that not even his charisma can save him. After two hours I still know almost nothing about this character. Alan Ritchson was wonderful as Reacher but sadly does not yet prove he can do other roles. His epic brutal physicality carries him far, but when he opens his mouth, you realize that he really can't act and he certainly can't do a Swedish accent. The rest of the action squad behind Cavil and Ritchson do not pull their weight, completely forgettable. Eiza Gonzales can NOT do a British accent and she was really awkward the whole movie. Everyone mumbles their lines, generally terrible physicality, and no real sense of purpose when they're on screen. Rory Kinnear/Churchill was a noticeably weak performance, as was Til Schweiger/Heinrich Luhr, a super cringey and non-threatening villain. Whole movie would have been better without him. Overall this felt like Guy Ritchie and everyone else getting a paycheck. I'm sure it was a lot of fun (I hope it was, at least) to make, but it results in pretty mindless entertainment that felt like a waste of 2 hours. This is a movie I would not have watched had it not been by Guy Ritchie, this is more on the level of Baywatch or Fast and Furious level of filmmaking, completely vapid and devoid of storytelling. I really don't have much to recommend about this movie. There are many other great WW2 movies, both comedic and dramatic, that you should watch instead of this one. Save your money and your time.”

Seems like after Baldwin shot and killed an operator, filmmakers now use only resin dummy pistols and revolvers as props, instead of real firearms. Which it THE RIGHT way to make the film. However, it appears to be insanely predictable and boring story, not to say pathetic. Yawn.

@@anitasmith7764 It’s rated 6.8 on IMDb, so why should I waste my time and money? I watched a few trailers. Was enough to see all the “best” moments. Yikes! Might be good for mentally challenged patients.
