I actually think he has been getting a lot of credit. Every announcer brings this up and they keep saying "he doesn't get enough credit" ha. He def deserves the credit and it looks like the defense is playing their hearts out right now.

Ive said it once he was hired, i said "he's gonna take vikes defense to be a top 15 top 10 d" but many fans didnt believe it. Now we all here enjoying his defense play

I grew up in Wisco a Packers fan (still am even through the rough season lol) and always despised the Vikings more so than even the Bears....But having lived in/worked around the Twin Cities, it's clear that Vikes fans are just as passionate as Green Bay fans and the way yall welcomed Favre in during his last season was awesome to see and certainly changed the way I feel about the Vikings and their fans. It's long overdue for the Vikings to be a feared top notch team, and I hope this recent change up continues to bring something special for your team. :)

I’ve been a Vikings fan since 1967 and with the exception of Fran the man I don’t EVERY remember another QB who could actually scramble out of trouble. We’ve basically had statues at QB since FT. It was nice to see the opposing team going crazy chasing the QB around for a change.

Big play gaps are honestly kinda part of the Flores system. They show cover 1 or 0 a ton, load the line and blitz more than anyone. Once in a long while they get bit for it but more often than not it causes a ton of confusion for the offense. It’s calculated risk.

The one exception was Dante Culpeper,he did scramble a bit and run the ball but couldn't stay healthy but yeah we've not had the luxury of a QB who could use his legs for big plays in a long time

I Agree with all of you Dobbs is definitely a scrambler not just to get out situations but to gain yards make people miss and yes we've never seen before also yes I see the difference in defense giving up the big plays its definitely not like last year defense has stepped up in 4th quarters especially seeing them against the Saints excited love my Vikes Skol !! @@ricovillanueva7822 man the laying off with a lead thing is definitely a red button for me. Always feels like the Twins and Wild do the same thing. That said, in this context I thought it made sense. We’re down two QBs, two WRs, two RBs and Hock was visibly suffering through that 1st half. So while it made me sweat I could understand why KOC laid off on the 2nd and didn’t put his players at risk. I also thought it gave the offense some much needed reps in the run game, which has been a problem area. It didn’t look great but no one else got hurt, we won, and the strategy very gradually burned up the clock while the defense did what it had to to keep a lead.

The point is outside of the fumbles and the safety he put together a game winning drive and showed composure in an offence he doesn’t know. You can get more familiar and the fumbles will go but you can’t teach the composure he showed

If Atlanta prepared for Hall, they should try tackling at the midsection rather than taking head shots, he might have played longer.

It's hard to prep for a QB that can scramble out of trouble and throw or just run down field. With JJ coming back they won't be able to spend the extra man to shadow the QB.

Dobbs has spent a lot of his career backing up guys who were already established like Big Ben in Pittsburgh, Kyler Murray in Arizona. He just hasn't really had much opportunity until this year, but the Cardinals are a terrible team and he hasn't had this much talent around him, not to mention this caliber of coaching and he has the IQ to learn it fast. . KOC likes high IQ quarterbacks. Jaren hall is like that too.

Absolutely. With Jefferson coming back along with a running QB wow,it'll be a nightmare to try to figure out how to stop this offense. I mean Addison for a rookie is looking "almost"like another JJ as a rookie,not quite as explosive but he's good and getting better. I quickly went from depressed to impressed with these last 5 games.😅

It's what "we" do. Even a small accolade from someone outside Minnesota about a player or team from here practically gets a parade. Hell, we're so attention starved our politicians Out-California California. But I digress. The other thing is we are our own worst enemies when it comes to this stuff. We overreact, start yelling dumb shit like "SUPER BOWL!" after one or two meaningless wins. When it goes counterclockwise down the toilet we blame the team or refs or bad juju. Not our complete overreaction. The only times in the last 25 years we legitimately should have been excited was the 15-1 and the Bounty Gate years. We WAY overreacted to the Minnesota Miracle. Great and absolutely thrilling as it was, everyone, players included acted like they'd just win the Super Bowl. I was waiting for confetti and a trophy ceremony. And predictably, after over celebrating a blown game that it took pulling a miracle out of our asses due to a missed tackle, we get crushed in the next game that actually meant MORE.

Don’t be silly. Dobbs is a rock star. He’s going to slice and dice defenses and take the Vikings deep into they playoffs. Better than Cousins. He’s played for bad teams his entire NFL career and behind other QBs that teams had already committed to. That’s the only reason why he’s not a top ten starting QB yet but he will be if the Vikings don’t get stupid and bring back Cousins next year and let Dobbs walk.

Yeah man if it ain't broken don't fix it. With the return of JJ and KJ Dobbs is going to have some great targets to throw to so his job will get easier. I think some people are forgetting JJ was best receiver in the NFL last year. When he comes back he along with KJ , Addison and top 5 TE Hockenson they will be a dangerous team who can go deep into the playoffs IMO. They are capable of beating top teams which is something that hasn't been the case in a while

Atlanta has a top-rated defense. Also, you seem to be forgetting that Dobbs hadn’t practiced a single snap before the game. He came in with no familiarity with the terminology of the offense, the cadence of the offensive line, the names of his teammates in the huddle, and the list goes on. To minimize the uphill battle Dobbs had to overcome to even look decent - let alone win - is to not understand football.

But his point is, Arthur Smith is the new worst coach in maybe all of sports. He's built an entire team around running the ball but refuses to implement the best RB on the team, Bijan Robinson. It's like putting a NOS system in your car and then refusing to drive over 30mph in a drag race. I love the Vikings, skol for life, but ATL was playing with one arm tied behind their back and their coach was the guy who triple knotted said rope. If we beat New Orleans, then we will def be having a different conversation about it but right now, we just had a great win for the ages. Whether we have a truly playoff ready is yet to be seen.

Dobbs outplayed Dallas this year,but Cardinals regressed after that. He depends on a good cast around him and can't make up for mediocre players like Manning or Brady could.

TBH Sunday's game reminded me so much of the games I used to watch when I lived in Denver around 2011 when another QB wore 15 and made a lot of magical wins happen, including beating a 2X SB champ in the playoffs. After losing to Tom Brady the next game, Tim Tebow never started another game at QB in the NFL.
