This week, I’m thrilled to be joined by Paul Churchill, the voice behind the Recovery Elevator podcast, to discuss his journey to recovery and all of the good parts of sobriety.
Paul’s story is one that will be very familiar to many of us. Being away from home and dealing with loneliness, Paul’s use of alcohol as a bridge for connection became more and more unhealthy. Not recognizing how bad things had gotten, this went on for years. Yet, like so many of us, Paul experienced a turning point that led him to seek the help he needed to turn his life around.
His journey is a testament to the resilience of the human spirit and the transformative power of hope.

I’m just starting my sobriety journey. One thing I’m doing is journaling all the ‘things’ drinking did to me. The events I ruined. The dangerous situations I got in. This podcast really helped me feel like I’m not alone. Thank you.

I’m an ex worker of the service industry that battles addiction. We almost all burn out the longer we stay.

I never had the feeling as a child or any other time that I could do anything. Sad but true.

Thanks for listening. I hesitate and hesitated to say the "multiple Homes" thing... but it's a win, and how our lives can expand without alcohol. Or maybe it was a flex 🤣
