I began to painfuly grind the French air tree, reached rank V which is incredibly painful, no good premium to help at this br, no good jets appart the Mystere IIc on min fuel (which is a beast and can really surprise you and the enemy with it's maneuverability and energy retention, definitely recommend it), and now I am not even sure that the Mirage are worth the grind anymore,which makes me really sad because these are some of my favorite planes ever :(

@@pierricus1399 dont sleep on the vautour man, I was able to grind out the entire tier 5 tree in like 4 days with the Vautour.

@@pierricus1399 In its current state the Mirage IIIE is not worth it but the Mirage IIIC is well worth it I have about 800 battles in and its just insane, watch phlydaily's videos on it, its an amazing plane

Mirage 5 would be worse than the 3 in term of air to air and worse than the jaguar in air to ground , we really need the F1 by now

@@aureliencostabeber8532 Mirage 5 has 5 hardpoints just like Jaguar. The weaponry would possibly less advanced in regard to missiles but it can still carry up to 14 bombs. The air-to-air performance in game would be much the same as Mirage III. Mirage 50 carries the same Engine and Radar as Mirage F.1 and is aerodynamically improved if I am not mistaken.

Relative controls makes it so the missile returns to center run when you let off the guidance keys. So inseated of just adding more and more turn degree to the missile you are more like just moving it in orthagonal space relative to your front view. Makes it 100x easier to guide mclos missiles.

I love the mirage but as it stands i would rather have the f4e mig21 bis f5e or j7e the mirage 3 doesnt have countermeasures so all some has to do is fire a missle or 2 and you will have lost all your energy plus the mirage 3e loses the best thing about the c variant it really just isnt a great air craft i love the air craft and you can make it work but there are multiple better options

whats your stats in the mirage? i got like 800+ games in it and 2000+ kills lmao i feel u when u say its one of your favorite planes. I like the f5e more now tho

@@kayonicks I have something like 300ish games in the IIIc, over 550 air kills and 250 deaths. I still love the plane but yeah other planes have definitely had more of my attention recently. I had the luxury of playing the F-5a before America got theirs, and that thing was the bee’s knees when it was the only freedom fighter with a 5-1 K:D for a while. J7e was my favorite plane of red skies, but oddly enough the mig23 is now my best K:D jet, and that was mostly before r60m, I never understood all the hate for the mig23. Right now I’m grinding f4ej kai followed by viggen.

@@ThatProduceGuy_ im not near my pc so i cant check my current stats but as of april i had 525 games in rb and im guessing prolly 100 more in squadron battles

Jaguar is much better than the Mirage 5 in the CAS role but for the iconic and historic part they could add the Mirage 5

@@aureliencostabeber8532 there is more version of the Mirages than the BF109 (some say) It is just weard that there is not more yet in game

Ive been playing it on the dev server and am already started on my analysis. Should have the review of the A5C up within a day or three of the patch going live.

@@TimsVariety Cool. the Q5A for all its flaws is still one of my favorite jets for cas. It's far from the best, but its challenging and rewards good aim.

Jaguar A is already in the pipeline, its what I used to unlock the Mirages

You should grind it out the French tree for the Mirage IIIC and Jagaur A then the USSR tree for the Mig 23/27M

@@CatWachristmashat Try not to turn too much because it bleeds speed too much.

@@CatWachristmashat Try to fly with your team, fly around 2-3K, I say this because you dont have access to RWR so you are reliant on eyesite spotting of SARH(AIM 7's and whatever the russians have) so high alt is dangerous, If I go high, I often die from unseen missles. I try to get rid of the 530, either by shooting up for a radar locked belly shot or an unsuspecting player at my alt. The 550 Magics are my favorite and best heat seeking missle in game (IMO), you can get away with alot of shots you cant normally take with other missles, use them wisely, you only get two. The Mirage is capable to some pretty tight, high G turns but in response, you bleed your speed/energy incredibly fast, so try taking sustained turns when your not in a dogfight to preserve your speed/energy since you dont build it back up as fast as some other aircraft at the tier. The DEFA's are really good in my experience, if you hit them and you dont get a kill, you will crit them.

@@CatWachristmashat Dont turn hard unless you really need to. Mirages keep a suprising amount of speed in smooth turns, tapping the W key to pitch down for a sec will help save you a lot of that precious energy which doesn't come easy in them.

I went right to the Jaguar and used that to grind out the rest of the French jets.

Grind the French line for the Mirage IIIC and the Jaguar A you won't regret getting both

I suspect my inability to push mach 2 was pilot error on my part. Wrong altitude, wrong set of upgrades enabled, etc etc. I only tried once with each.

@@TimsVariety I have gone mach 2.45 in the IIIC using the jet booster and after firing both magics into the sun 😂

Yeah IIIE is nightmare heavy

The tanks I would say are almost not worth it, they are a hell hole of a grind to get through the first few teirs and have an overwhelmingly high repair cost rank 4-5. I don't have them past rank 5 so I can't really give you an opinion on that. I do know of accounts that people say rank 6 if fun but frustrating and rank 7 is wonderful. For planes I recommend fighters off the bat for rank 1-2, the 20mm cannons are fun and very beginner friendly. Rank 3-4 go for the intercepter/naval aircraft. These are things such as the p63, f4u-7, and the Bearcats. These are a blast and if you are familiar with the American line, you will have a lot of fun. I am close to jets but do not have them yet, the vautour is a beauty of a plane if you don't mind getting missled every now and then and the jet fighters from my understanding are nice, great examples being the jaguar A, super mystere, and the mirage. Hope this helps!

@@michaelparkerson2430 i am interested in planes, and the french tree seems well, BUT i need Fighter/Interceptor, not vautour or jaguar. I play mostly on Air RB, nations i wonder about are: Japan(pretty good VI and VII era ), France(easy nation, but best on low era) and maybe Sweden( the best low era performance)
