He was seeing both of them. His wife humiliated him in front of her friends before they got married by having him to kneel and clean her shoes. He was only in for the money and to increase his status. His step sister tried to warn him but he only saw dollars and status. She knew what he wanted and used it against him so why is she acting they were so in love. She knew about other girl.
I think a part of her was hoping that he would fall in love with her & leave the other girl. She's gonna find out the hard way that love can't grow from blackmail.
I quit watching it after he told her that she wasn't the light in the window that he needed even though the wife saved him in the beginning. Mistress came into picture and diverted his attention and he believed he didn't need wife anymore. Now he misses her.

I am not clear on why this wife thinks that after she forced herself on this man and pressure him into marrying her she felt she would have a happy life! He does not love her and she knows it but she felt in time he would now she is hurt and want to start trouble with the girl he dumped who have nothing to do with either of them!

Infidelity also happens in other countries too but was the norm previously for Chinese men. Now, with Chinese women’s independence and holding jobs to be financially independent, there’s more respect in the marriage for the wives.

And going to the cafe and look up and probably stalked the young lady too. The guy needs a bit of backbone to fight back instead letting her attitude and behaviour slide! The characters in this drama is annoying!
