If you also read mangas, I’d recommend Dungeon Meshi. It has unique characters, great world building, and the story pacing is very similar to Golden Kamuy where serious tense moments would be mix with comedy and is executed just as good. Definitely give it a try when you can, you won’t regret it 🙂

Sugimoto wasn't dishonorably discharged because he was to brutal when fighting the russians. He was kicked out for killing an officer. This is important because the way you present it makes it sound like he was an innocent man, fighting valiantly for his country as a war hear and was treated unfairly by the evil system when, no, the guy just murdered an officer.
