I've watched tye full debate and I think both Daniel and Jake was phenomenal. But I would've liked to see them calling out when the cristians were saying some obvious lies, like how they claimed jews and cristians aren't allowed to practice their religion under Islamic law. Just saying "thats a lie" would be great because otherwise non Muslims would think it's true. How do we throw the Bible under the bus? We are under the new covenant with Christ, not the old covenant. The Law of Moses was given to a specific people (the Jews), for a specific place (Palestine), for a specific time (Old Covenant period). The Law was never the ideal for all of humanity; the ideal is in Genesis 1-2, which Jesus's covenant restored and will eventually bring to its completion. The Muslims said "but the Old Testament is still revealed by Jesus since He is God." So, what? Jesus also revealed the covenant to Noah, and that covenant allowed people to eat anything that walks on the face of the earth. But the Law of Moses forbids eating so many different types of animals and foods? Again, which covenant do you guys think we're under? An ancient, temporary one, or an eternal one? Heaven and earth will pass away, but Jesus' words will never pass away (Matthew 24:35). How do we worship liberal values made by atheists? The same atheists and deists who adopted Christian ethics and values, removed God from the picture, and called themselves "enlightened?" Nah, I'd rather worship Jesus Christ than any man-made political view this world has to offer. And of course, we're going to have similarities with liberalism because it's the Enlightenment that was influenced by the Judeo-Christian worldview, not the other way around (which doesn't even make sense).

@@abz4852 Hi bro, thanks for your comment! The Old Testament was for the ancient Jews before the time of Jesus Christ. Unfortunately, they broke their covenant with God around the time of Jeremiah, so they were punished by losing their land, and hence they could not practice the Law fully. But they were always looking forward to the redemption of God through the Messiah. So the Law was never revealed to Christians and was never bound to them. We find our salvation in Jesus who not only perfectly kept the Law, but who revealed the Spirit of the Law behind the actual letter of the Law. So the entire Law is a testament to Jesus Christ, and we put our faith in Him, not the Law which cannot save anybody, but only condemns them, since everyone broke the Law. The New Testament, just like the Old, is never understood to be eternal. Books and laws cannot be eternal because how can these things exist for all time even before creation itself? Only God is eternal! The New Testament is a collection of books that record the work of Christ and who he is, and shows how he brought about the fulfillment of God's promises in the past, and how he will fulfill his promises in the future.

If Robert believes that X is "inherently evil" (i.e., X cannot be done without it not being evil), then it doesn't matter if it was done before and later "abrogated". If Robert's understanding of God is that He commanded X at any point in history-because X is *inherently* evil-then it follows from Robert's views that God commanded something evil.
