I remember when this arc came out in the manga, Horikoshi-sensei was getting death threats for this. Feel free to hate Endeavor as a character, but I hope people can't deny that he is a well-written character. Now in anime form, Endeavor was trending on twitter world-wide and many people really liked the episode so I am glad it was overall well received compared to before.

“Watch me” Endeavor isn’t reassuring with just his words like All Might is and even his presence is a bit unsettling but his actions spoke volumes in this fight. His tenacity to be the best and to not give up in this fight was his symbol. Not really a symbol of peace I think he is more a symbol of courage.

Shoto and All Might's reaction gave me the biggest chills when they say Endeavor raise his arm up

The reason why we feel for Endeavor is because he’s a more believable and relatable character. This in my opinion a major flaw with super heroes that with their purity of intentions and strength become too fictional. This why many find it easier to understand Joker’s drives than Batman’s for example. This is brilliant from MHA imho.

All Might = Symbol of Peace. Endeavor = Symbol of Hope.

I cried when mirio was protecting eri from overhaul, I cried when eri said she had forgotten how to smile, I cried when eri actually smiled at 1-A's performance, I cried when sir nighteye passed away, I cried when endeavor referred to the noumu as his past self, I cried when he said he hated the plus ultra motto but still applied it to his prominence burn Bitch I cried the whole season and for me this was probably the best season so far I cannot wait for the next seasons!

Symbol of peace: an overwhelming wall that cannot be brought down which brings safety and comfort. Symbol of Hope: a shinning light in the darkness. Where everyone must learn that they have to do their part in challenging times. This is where i think Endeavor can surpass all might not by being a symbol of safety but by being a symbol of empowerment.

Shoto watching his father, those few moments where he was on his knees. Gut wrenching, you feel for the kid.

I only watch My Hero Academia for the hell of it to see if it lives up to the hype. I wasn't completely satisfied with this series until this last episode. I thought it was absolutely great! I was really moved by this episode and I've officially have became a fan.

Endeavor is my #1 favorite character and this fight was what I was looking forward to this entire season! I love it when characters undergo dramatic changes mentally like Endeavor and like Vegeta! Characters who do 180 but they accept that they've fucked up badly in their past.

Well endeavour is becoming a good guy now butI watch them with every single episode of my hero academia and I've never seen him get almost beaten down with this scar I remember him fighting with stain the hero killer but I didn't think he got hurt I thought he came and save Todoroki in them. This fight really has everything I wanted. Hyped moments, emotional feels, god like animation, and of course amazing character development. This was just a beautiful season finale..

Scenes like this is exactly why I’ve never cared to read a manga over watching the anime and why I get tired of all the manga purists. The animation, the music, the emotion emanating from the characters voices in combination with the effects. This is something that you cannot achieve in a manga ever period.

i did cry in this season, when mirio vs overhoul even the animation was so bad but the seiyuu cover it so perfect and another one when eri smile mirio say sir, definitely mirio seiyuu win my heart, what a great performance. the one that give me chill from the entire season of course the plus ultra prominence brun especially when the burn word ! the vibration held my breath for a sec. i thought this gonna be the bad one after seeing mirio vs overhaul fight but turn out the saving the budget for the best fight. well done bones.. you nailed it

The Noumu isn't a personification of Endavour, but of what Endavour was trying to create, through his children and by his own efforts. He did not burn up a symbol of himself as much as he burned away his obsessive quest for power, leaving only the man Endavour behind. He burned away what he wanted to become, what was left behind was someone who could personify both what it means to be a hero and a symbol, as well as a father and husband, the real Endavour. The reveal that Dabi is Endavours supposedly dead son is comming, we can assume he died as a result of Endavour trying to create a sucessor to himself to surpass no1. That he "died" due to overuse of Endavour's quirk, and subsequently Endavour tried to create a child who did not have that fault, which lead to Todoroki.

I wouldn't say your opinion is wrong though, you never know what is the deepest place of Japanese anime. Through this episode, The topic was that what do you fight for? And what Endeavor wanted to tell people was "I AM THE ONES WHO CAN EXPAND MY LIMIT TO PROTECT PEOPLE!!" He has been kept fighting for proving his strength so far. It was for sake of HIM SELF. Kind of opposite, but he changed. In this fighting, the enemy was even stronger than him but then again he was not allow to lose as a new symbol of peace. This fight was only one chance whether he can be New symbol or not. There were no next time if he lose. This fight was not for showing his first step to be a next symbol of peace. This fight was for making people recognize him suitable as a next symbol of peace. Kind of showing the glorious new symbol. He was fighting to make people safe and relief. And He did it!!! He intensely showed you like this is the "STARTING" of new symbol of peace. He got to achieve his goal right in this fighting. Not a stepping stone to step toward a goal. Japanese anime is "super deep" especially nowadays. It is evolving. Please don't pay attention to shallow level. You can see the deepest place at back ground of story and characters if you pay attention to the things related with them all. In general, Japanese people don't say "I love you" to their lovers. Japanese people show their love with their attitude with no word. Please remember the word that Endeavor said at the ceremony. This anime is showing the mind of Japan a lot. I 'm not sure that foreigners can catch what is the core of Japanese anime though, I hope you guys catch it correctly!!!!!

Man endeavor gets too much unwarranted hate, and I don't mean that he should be excused for his actions, but ffs guys let the man at least try to be better. All over funimation's comments section on "His Start" are a lot of people being like "Endeavor needs to just retire he doesn't deserve to keep being a hero", or "He can't just say oh now i realized I was bad and be forgiven" and some more toxic stuff as well. I am glad videos like this point out what its really all about, people are missing the point. Good video, and far better like to dislike ratio than I expect for an endeavor video ngl. Endeavor was wrong... but to say he he can't try to be better moving forward and should just quit so stupid.
