Even when my husband and I were trying for a baby, my first thought when I saw my positive was "WHAT THE BLEEP HAVE I JUST DONE?!" I saw my entire life flash before my eyes, and felt the scared dread of knowing nothing in my life would ever be the same again. Of course it was joyful after that, but man those first moments are crazy!

It is natural to feel you are not ready for it, especially when you think you have taken precautions. i started laughing when i found out i was pregnant. i told my boyfriend and i was just laughing that he didnt believe me. then when he saw it was positive we both were just hysterically laughing then we started crying. it was a rollar coaster of emotions. I love your reaction, it's so real and many Mama's can relate to all the different emotions that rushed through your system in just a few seconds. The "no no no no" is definitely not one of not wanting to be pregnant, it's of pure shock and disbelief. I experienced this with my first and with my third now which I'm due in July. You're going to look back on that day with so much joy even years later. Honestly it's the best shock you can experience!

I love that you shared this! I had a very similar journey to you. I can’t count how many times I have taken a pregnancy test and seen the negative come up, sometimes relieved and sometimes devastated. But when I saw the positive come up in November 2019, I was so shook and scared and in disbelief! I had that same initial reaction and I felt bad for feeling like there was no way, but then the excitement flooded in over the next 24 hours. Our little man is here as of July 25 2020 and has been the biggest blessing I have ever had. I’m so excited for you and Marcus and I can’t wait to follow along on your journey!! ♥️

I was thinking the same, if you are not taking any sort of contraceptive or using a "more" secure method there's a 99% chance you may get pregnant. Really happy for them though, can't wait to see the baby

@@iriamonge1704 it’s not a 99% chance, basically everyone who has unprotected sex (and is able to) would get pregnant if that were the case. it’s only between a 15-25% chance each month for people who are actually trying to get pregnant like tracking their cycles and having sex during the fertile window! so for people who aren’t trying it would be a bit lower than that. super weird to think about

I’m married and done use birth control or contraception there is a very short window where you’re fertile and if you track correctly it’s 98% effective for not getting pregnant just like birth control!

I love that you posted your pregnancy reaction video because not all reaction needs to be “joyful”. No matter how joyful it is, it is a huge change in your life, body and career. And it is indeed shocking. You shouldn’t feel like you are forced to feel happy about it. You are as important as the baby inside of you.
