Yes. Also, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, who *definitely* deserved her 1996 emmy, got it for the wrong episodes (Soup Nazi and The Wait Out). Those episodes were not even her best performances on the show. But at least she got the emmy. Jason never getting one is a crime.

I think there's much more to the character than that. George is a neurotic narcissist, an obnoxious one at that. He overcomes the insecurity and self-loathing by his bombastic ego being so aggressive most of the time. I tried watching the show at first and thought I wouldn't watch more of it because I found George so obnoxious. Gradually, I overcame that repulsion and began to appreciate the quirky situations and the comic genius of the show, especially through Kramer. Kramer's outrageous character and physical comedy really held the show together for me. But I also began to feel more nauseated by all the characters being so self-centered and shallow. The final episode, which I think was horrible, played into that feeling of disgust with such self-centered people not meeting with the justice they deserve.

@@mejohn101It was really unbelievable how George managed to pick up beautiful women, let alone anyone of the opposite sex. But the relationships constantly fell to pieces after one or two episides which was hilarious. Then when he finally finds a wife, she dies licking envelopes, Lol.

I played George’s boss in the episode “The Comeback”…. …the famous “jerk store” scene where my character delivered the zinger… That’s key for me to tell you the “reach” of “Seinfeld.” My wife and I relocated to Richland WA in 2014. I went to see a local production company owner to shoot the breeze and see how things were going with his company. As soon as I walked into his office he closed the door and started whispering…which frankly…I thought was a bit weird…. He leaned in towards me and said, “I don’t want to let the receptionist know I told you this. When she came into my office to tell me you were up front she said, ‘Mitch! The man from ‘Seinfeld’ is up front and wants to see you!” Thought you might get a chuckle out of that…I still laugh about it… ...and give Jason my regards and tell him this story if you see him any time soon......

George was a really funny character, played to perfection by Alexander - it was marvelous how well his performance "worked" with all the other actors. George with his parents was a whole new level. Frank and Estelle Costanza and George complimented each other so well - high comedy. I think my favorite Frank Costanza moment is when Steinbrenner is commiserating with Frank and Estelle about the apparent death of George and finally a very worked up and distraught Frank gets a chance to talk to Steinbrenner about the apparent tragedy and lays into Steinbrenner for trading Jay Buhner.🤣😂

Everyone at work told me that I had to watch the new show, Seinfeld. It took a few episodes to warm up to it but I couldnt stand George. After a few more episodes, I realized that George was the best part of the show!!!!! I also enjoyed when Jerry knew that he was delivering a really good punch line. He could never completely keep a straiht face. The show was genius and the episode, amongst a few, where Jerry was dating the gymnast, Kramer had a kidney stone, Mr. Pitt was doing a spring water merger and I believe George walked out of a bathroom with just jockey shorts on was genius, pure genius. The timing/delivery was impeccable!!! I never laughed that long on any other episode. That episode could only be rivaled to the over the top finale' of the Newhart Show. That finale should have its own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Truly, an unrivaled finale to a wonderful show!!! I hope that Jason is doing well!

I hope it makes Jason Alexander uncomfortable and happy to know that my office is emblazoned on the entry wall with “the timeless art of seduction” on a massive 4 foot poster

I was married to my ex-wife when Seinfeld was on the air. She had the biggest crush on Jason Alexander. She was a very attractive 21 year old woman at the time. She just loved his bombastic personality as George and she loved his bald head. So go figure, Jason was a sex symbol to at least to one young woman in the midwest!!! And I never had to worry about going bald, even though 25 years later I still have a full head of hair but not the same wife🤣

Oh man, thanks for sharing. Did she ever have a “Marisa Tomei!”- like moment when the show was on?? LOL

George was the best character. The simpletons think it’s Kramer, but it’s George.

Kramer is the most memorable character on the show. But you don’t have a show at all without George.

He got famous but not too famous. Good for him. I remember Jerry dating that 17 year old girl and they really came for him and later his future wife was already married. They did watch Jason, he flew under the radar with his personal life.

Any particular reason that Jason Alexander is so far away from Howie in the studio? I could understand when we were under lockdown, but now? And who does the lighting for Howie, a visually-impaired chimp? You can barely see your guest's face on the wide shot. Hey Howie, I've enjoyed your work for years and I think this new show of yours has potential, but it appears you have some kinks to work out. That being said, you had a wonderful guest in J.A. and I wish you all the best.

I was support at the Four Seasons during the 2010 Winter Olympics, and told to never shake Howie's hand, the explanation was he's a germafobe, but I've always wondered if it's simply to keep the fans away? Good times, though; he's very engaging none the less.

there are Famous peple, then there are celebrities, and then there are Icons .. Jason Alexander , Jerry Seinfeld, Julia Louis Dreyfous and Michael Richards are Icons. They are the beatles of TV. in my opinion.
