If you could see jones' corner before he threw the 12-6 elbow, his cornerman was calling for elbows and was doing the 12-6 motion and you can see in the clip jones looking at his corner for direction, right after that jones threw the 12-6
Bones deserves this being turned into a No Contest. Here's the LEGAL argument, personal feelings aside. #1- The damage that stopped the fight was done prior to the illegal strike(s) #2- The referee already deducted a point, before stopping the fight, hence punishing Jones twice for the exact same infraction. [Could the ref have immediately DQ'd Jones? Yes. But he didn't. He gave Jones a penalty of -1 point. DQ'ing him for the exact same infraction is unfair. #3- Bones' elbow never connected. First strike was forearm, second strike was a miss.
