@@YetAnotherRetardedYTUpdate The shit talking and all that was part of his game yes but as a person he is garbage. This has been shown many time out of the ring / personal life. He's your typical obnoxious bellend from dublin with more money than sense, he can switch it on when he wants to 'talk proper' but you see 'him' when the dublin accent comes out and he might as well be standing outside a fast food restaurant in the city center at 2am start fights 😂😂
Still have goosebumps for the Aldo knockout. It was absolutely insane, a scene from a movie. I do not think such a build-up with such a decisive conclusion will ever happen again in our lifetime. Whoever had the chance to watch it happen live, be extremely grateful!
Seen it a hundred times but just noticed the expression on Aldo's face as he throws. Conor must've really got under his skin so his first shot was loaded up and angry, just not hard enough to knock Conor out! It's crazy they both landed! Could be a different story altogether!
@@joela283 want to see something absolutely nuts? When conor was first starting out in the lower MMA organizations, he knocked a dude out in legit THE SAME EXACT MANNER. it was th opening exchange of the fight, the dude loaded up just like Jose, and conor slid back and banged a left. Identical
I was a shit muncher just getting off work. Pulled up to a jammed packed Buffalo Wild Wings just in time for the walk outs. There was no time for a table. I just made it to the bar area. There were no seats at the bar, so I stood for one minute, then a lovely waitress asked if she could get me a beer. I replied and asked for a pint. She then walked off to get my beer before she made it back Aldo was on the floor KOd so I walked right out of there 😂
Has anybody ever wanted Brazil ? Like really wasn’t there like a treaty between Spain and Portugal that they couldn’t agree fast enough. Like the two countries couldn’t agree on anything ever except on this like please take this out of my hands 🙌. And did anyone invaded Brazil with the intent to keep it ? Completely worthless place.
@@feliperea3271Yeah you are completely wrong Brazil was very profitable during the colonial era That's why Portugal and Spain had to come to a agreement. I love when Connor said that It reminded me of a colonizer invading the new world epic😂😂😂😂
What did he do exactly? You make it like popularity & ego madness rants are something we should be proud of as a sport. The guy went on a winning streak (it happens all the time), but he never defended a belt, held the sport hostage multiple times, and has since made professional fighters look like complete brain damaged neanderthals. Great he was really popular at one time... but it was a 3-year window... almost a decade ago now. The guy sexually assaults women, punches pensioners, and has the mindset of an adult child. Grow up & get a clue.
The comment about coming into Jose’s Favela on horseback by Connor is absolutely legendary and timeless. Dude legitimately wanted Aldo’s heart on a spear.
2015-2016 was the greatest time in mma history. And it was all down to Mcgregor. We’ll never get a time like it again. It’s a bit like the attitude era in wrestling. 96-99 was a time we’ll never get back again.
I like the comparison. Very fitting too especially since Vince is partners now. But there was nothing like that attitude era and there was nothing like the mcgregor era.
How legendary is this run… this guy Knocks out Jose Aldo when he hasn’t been beaten for 10 years and does it in secs … moves to welter weight passes light to go back 2 back with Nate and beat him on the 2nd time then goes down to 155 to become double champ and leave the franchise to make 100 m going against Floyd like this shit is wild asf
@@williamfarrell4754 LMFAO. Say what you want about her but she was never a gold digger. Poirier and his wife already been together when he debuted as MMA fighter.
That Fabre exchange still cracks me up 😂 Connor looks crazy sucked out scary thin and Fabre walking by full stomach fresh as a daisy smiling at the end like a little kid who got in trouble teasing his brother 😂 Connor wanted to kill him but had zero energy or strength.
I was confused by that cause its supposed to be before the Chad fight but they were talking about that fight during TUF and Faber was wearing a Garbrandt tracksuit, Cody was on their season of TUF.
There will never be another McGregor. No matter what you think of him he was a huge part of growing the ufc. No one gave AF about Khabib either before Conor gave him the time of the day.
Conor's footwork in this era, and overall movement and timing was godlike, compared to the era and other fighters, I mean nobody moved like this back then specially nobody he fought the fraction of his footwork, of course the downside was being so high performance and energy insufficient but he didn't really need more than 2 rounds anyway
Conor McGregor the icon!! The excitement he creates for his fights is next level, from the press conference to the event, his star power and charisma is unmatched, a true global superstar. He truly changed the sport of MMA, helps it grow into a global phenomenon, only one Notorious Conor McGregor 👏👏👏
It's hard to describe what the first Nate vs. Mcgregor fight was like. The entire party I was at were on their feet screaming the entire fight. Energy levels off the charts. I've never felt that way for any other sport ever. The Holm vs Tate fight before it helped too, cause that was banger and got everyone hyped.
everyone tries to sell fights like he did with the talk and it never comes off the same, the russians wrestling will never be as entertaining as his KOs either even if they’re winning, has to be almost impossible to replicate his run
*Conor McGregor has done a tremendous job for the UFC.* Like, hate, love or wish him dead, you still can't argue that the UFC would be what it is today without him.
the Larone Era he's in his Prime UFC's best promoter they need to start paying him and let him use any footage he wants without getting copy-right struck
Hands down best channel on here for all things Combat Sports specifically MMA, shows how much work you put in, just know we appreciate it. Keep doing great work, can’t tell you how many I’ve re-watched
Class that was at the end of the second Diaz fight when Nate grabs Connor's hand to pull him up off the canvas and shake hands after a war for 25 minutes. Pure respect between the pair 👊
The Diaz 1 build-up, " 2 Breakfasts" Conor is a classic, great footage. Just Needed the "It's all over Edward" Clip as well. 10/10 still, brilliant work pal.
The best MMA years hands down. His rise is something ill never forget. Legendary. Regardless of whos he become, he accomplished fantastic things during his rise. INSPIRATIONAL
2015 Mcgregor and 2023 Mcgregor are 2 different people. He was so irrationally in control back then. People also underestimate what he has done for the sport. Its first global superstar, pathing the way for others. His Cv is fucking impressive the first 2 time champion in ufc 👏
what a RU-vid channel, thank u for this great content bro , you did a good job .. keep going for all real mma fans , i saw all of the best moment vedios .
GOAT Larone reminding all those who have deliberately deluded themselves out of remembering how special and singular McGregor was in his prime. We can rightly look at Anderson, a top 5 GOAT, in his prime, separate to his later loss streak, but people try to fool you into believing McGregor was average or lucky.
It makes me sad that I will likely never see such a thing again in life. His rise was the sort of thing you tell your grandkids about. I'm sure there are old guys who feel the same about Ali or Tyson.
I feel the same it’s part plausibo I think becuase I was younger and mma was younger it’s like football when I was a kid it just seemed bigger. But this is slightly different because mma is so relatively new it felt like something that had never been done he just kept saying what he was gonna do and then going out and doing it
Quite sad what happened with his career. And it wasn't only lack of motivation. It was also not being allowed to fight when he wanted to be active. Maybe if he was allowed to be active his fights would have gone different with Poirier. He wanted an active 2020 but wasn't allowed when he fought Cowboy in January of 2020 and then he fought Poirier in January of 2021. Striking wasn't the issue, he wasn't prepared for the leg kicks but I feel like at that time a lot of guys were targeting legs which no one had ever done to Conor. He wasn't prepared. Obviously he's totally different as a person now as well but I kinda liked the nice guy Conor who fought Cowboy and the first Poirier rematch. And then we get a pretty quick rematch and he gets injured at the end of the 1st round. The fact that he only fought 3 times after Khabib is just sad. He still had the skill, I know people dislike him now as a person but punch for punch he was better than Poirier in the first rematch. It was the kicks that was the difference.
Like many others, McGregor was the one who got me into MMA. I was a K1 Badr Hari fan and thought MMA was boring. McGregor changed my mind. It was an awesome ride, MMA needs another guy like him 👍
Actually he changed UFC , I watch ufc because of him. He played his game so good. But the sad part is money and fame took away the real Conor McGregor character. People started hating him after consuming of alcohol and maybe some drugs. I wish and Hoping he will be a better person. His movie also coming up, its exited too.
Yoooo 1:19:45 I always think of that take when McGregor and Dustin faced off. Dustin went from looking like a kid listening to his dad giving him a stern talking to, to straight PSYCHO. It kills me every time 🤣
He was right about that fasting hungry cardio! That’s that Rocky Balboa shit! Most people competing in a combat sport coming up are broke and hungry and cutting weight and have to do their road work like that. It’s a more do or die feeling that absolutely brings u to a different place.
Big shoutout to the documentary including Nate Diaz part of the documentary. As someone whose from Nor Cal it gives me chills, Diaz was really with the shits
