Love this! I wish the syndicated episodes would substitute some of the tunes from their new album and incorporate them into the old romps. It's only fitting since that's what was done when the show was first rerun and there was a new song to push. This song fits the romp quite well.
You're welcome! Yes, this song, along with the second version of Me And Magdalena are on the digital download version of the Good Times CD. I bought mine on iTunes. I believe the actual CD that you can buy at the store have a totally different bonus track(s) on them. They either have "A Better World" and/or "Loves What I Want".
How they left this song off the cd is beyond me. It is a great song, better than some of the songs on it like Our Own World, Gotta Give it Time and Was There. They should have cut the last song. It was picked because Micky wrote it, but it is weak song. Rather have had another new song on it than an old track like Gotta Give it Time, which sounds dated and is too repetitive. Our Own World was picked over this because the writer was the producer. It is ok, but not as good as this.
Wow, this is such a great tune - only recently come across it. It sounds like it may have been a Goffin King song - very cleverly written. Anyone know the songwriters?
