Justin Hayward Top 10 in music history for Voice, Guitar & songwriting!!
@wwhtp

I first saw them in 1972 in Atlanta at the Omni. I've seen them several times since then and was there at the Ryman in Nashville in 2017 for the 50th anniversary of the Days of Future Past. I have the Blu-ray disc so I can see what I saw whenever I want. I've been lucky to see Justin Hayward with Mike Dawes (and unbelievable guitarist), Julie Ragins and Karmen Gould twice. Mike opened the shows with amazing guitar work and got a standing ovation. This is in Nashville where it's rare for someone by himself to get such a response and he deserved it.
@meloniedropik3539

I have been to Justin's recent tours and was similarly impressed with Mike Dawes. Justin himself stands in awe of Mike. The show was terrific with Justin performing a ton of the songs he wrote and recorded with the Moodies as well as much of his solo work. Julie Ragins and Karmen Gould have voices that blend perfectly with Justin's, and their musical contributions make the songs' rich and layered qualities come to life. The unparalleled excellence in the live performances I've witnesses from the Moodies, as a group and as solo artists, are memories I am so glad to be able to relive through the live performance videos people are so kind to share. Moody Blues forever.

The music of the Moody Blues runs the whole spectrum of emotions - joy, sadness, exhilaration, melancholy... It takes us back, and moves us forward. Few can make that claim, and none can do it, with that kind of style. My life has not been especially good or productive, but in listening, I can take joy from events in my past, and look forward to my future, for whatever may come. Thank you, Moody Blues...

In the 90s MB toured and always hired the local orchestras to perform with them at the outdoor amphitheaters. This song is one of their great live songs live because of the orchestra. My friend since 7th grade told me years later his mom was hired to play the piano at one of these shows in north central indiana back in the 90s. Mrs Edison confirmed to me that MB were great to work with and she been a professional musician and piano teacher the time for 35 years

So sad that it took until 2018 for this amazing group of performers to be inducted into the Rock and Roll hall of fame. One of the finest rock songs ever made! Back in the late 60 s the Moody Blues set out to find a niche in a burgeoning style called progressive rock. Soon joined by Pink Floyd, Yes, Genesis, ELP, King Crimson and later by Tull, Kansas, Rush and Dream Theater, among others, The Moody Blues indeed found that niche and occupied it for decades with a unique blend of haunting lyrics, gorgeous melodies, daring and technical excellence. They deserve their place in the R&R Hall of Fame!

I was there that night September 9 and the next gig September 10. You can see me MANY times in it. I was wearing a light blue golf jacket and was standing in front of John Lodge about 20 rows up by the rope that surrounded the Sound Engineer. 1:37 ; 9:10 ; 10:34 ; 10:48 ; You can see my figure in the blue jacket wearing blue jeans. In the whole DVD at the end of ''Lovely To See You,'' Justin Hayward shouts '' YEAH!'' Then the camera flashes on a blonde chick's face; RIGHT behind her is me in the blue jacket, glasses, brown hair, dark Moodies' shirt {Can't remember which one} GR8 MEMZ!!!! Karen the gorgeous blonde in the front row {Graeme Edge gave you the flowers} Sincerest Apologies for not saying Hi at the Colorado State Fair gig; I regret listening to the gossip spreaders. HOPE you see this. THANX FOR POSTING APlace in Time!!!!!

If any of you know Karyn Hansen from Arvada, a HUGE Moodies fan, please tell her that Fred says hello from the early 90's.
