My mom made me stand in below freezing temperatures for hours outside the venue so she could get a front-row seat to see JH. Whenever we're anywhere with a touch tunes jukebox, she has to hear the Moodys. My mom is my best friend & I don't know what I'll do without her. I'm so sorry you no longer have yours.
@@alliehamilton-calhoun162 Cherish the time you have with your mom. If you can, call her right now and tell her you love her. I wish I could do the same. Like your mother, my mom had to have front row seats to every Moodie's concert. I cry every day because I miss her. Since she's gone, my strength went with her.
2 years my husband passed ❤ always loved hard rock the 1st concert he took me was at Jones Beach I was hooked ❤ still play your CDS constantly wish he was at here ❤️🙏💔😪
Moi, aussi!!! LOL!! A remarkable work by an incomparably talented band. Classy, classic & simply unforgettable. Moody Blues wailing-type vocals had me mesmerized from Day One. Love Justin Hayward. Days of Future Passed one of my most often-listened to albums.
My sister and brother-in-law lived on a boat near New York City. They decided to move back on land so the put the boat up for sale. A musician purchased the boat from them. She said he was a drummer. She asked me, have you ever heard of a band called The Moody Blues?
I've listened to the Moody Blues since I was 14 yrs old, in the late sixties. They are still my favorite band and always will be. I just wish I'd been able to see them live at least once before I die.
I know that pain... and at 78 I felt it many times and I know and the healing. Wait for several days and go to the shelter to have another friend find you. Save two in pain...you and him/her and love each other again the way it' planned.
Hello laura it’s my pleasure to meet you. Thank you for the love and passion you have for my music career I really appreciate you from my heart Where are you from
My husband & I got married outside on a beautifully warm Tuesday afternoon.🥰 & my 1 younger brother is named after Justin Hayward of the Moody Blues too.🤯🤘🥰
This was penned by lead vocalist Justin Hayward, who explained : “I sat down in a field, smoked a funny African cigarette, and the song just came out. It was a Tuesday afternoon.” On the LP, this was listed as “Forever Afternoon (Tuesday?)” at the insistence of the Moody Blues’ producer. A Mellotron was used for “Tuesday Afternoon” (1967). The instrument is a keyboard which triggers taped loops of a chosen instrument recorded at different pitches. It is not synthesized sound, but actual instrument recording. Here, the taped loops were strings. The strange and singular quality of the sound comes from the warble in the tape loops as they play back. The Moody Blues were the first high-profile group to use a Mellotron in live performances. The London Festival Orchestra, which was the name Decca Records gave to their classical musicians, played on this track. The original idea was to record a rock version of a classical piece called “New World Symphony” by Czech composer Antonín Leopold Dvorak (1841 - 1904). 💚🎼💜
June 2024 65 years old, JUST now figuring things out in life! Hang in there, think broadly and go with the flow. Observe don’t absorb. Love one another.
But can't be only the one most. I understand you. Have a great emotions and feelings for Moodys, but there are five groups for No.1 in UK, and the world!!! 👍🏴
Well, I'm 69 and always preferred rock, such as Deep Purple, Led Zep, etc. Now I'm into the M Blues and I cant stop listening. They have touched my heart... just awsome..
So awesome this is posted today!!! Tuesday afternoon before spring begins soon.. My father passed and is laid out today south of Detroit near the Huron River Parks where we loved going many decades.. Tuesday Afternoon and the Moody Blues are greatly identified with him and our lives, the entire Days of the Future Passed album and more Moodies are on the music for today and tomorrow..
I was listening to Tuesday Afternoon and reading comments when I came across your post. I have relatives in the same cemetery where your father is buried. Sorry for your loss. I am appreciating the Moody Blues music more than ever, especially now that I'm getting older.
Hi Margo It’s my pleasure to meet you. Thank you for the love and passion you have for my music career, I rely appreciate you from my heart. Where are you from?
My son, my only child, THE love of my life, was born on a Tuesday afternoon. Today, Tuesday May 7th, is his birthday. I dedicate this song to him on the day that I was blessed with him, 28 years ago. 🎶♥️🎵
I was appalled about the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame not inducting the Moody Blues for it's first few years so I wrote the Hall of Fame asking how can they call themselves the Hall of Fame when The Greatest Band in History,The Moody Blues wasn't it's premier Headliner. Glad to see The Blues crew made it! A veteran Cosmic Rocker
A truly zany humorous animation for such a classic song! It kind of captures the spacey but fun-loving musical mood of the late 1960s. I have such great memories of the first times I heard the Moodies. And of our band doing cover versions of them. Tuesday Afternoon Forever, Lord bless them! We will all jam together in Heaven, that's my prayer.
Hello Sylvia It’s my pleasure to meet you. Thank you for the love and passion you have for my music career I truly appreciate you from my heart Where are you from
Oh my goodness.... just found this, immediately I'm 17 again, zoning out to this and so many other wonderful tracks! I had every single LP they released, saw them live several times. Happy Happy days! 😊
I hope all is well with all of them, I have enjoyed their music since the mid 1970's, I was in a unpleasant experience and their music was a real sweet escape from all the BS
My best friends in 1967 wore this Moody Blues album out (Days of Future Passed). I can see my friend Jeri playing the air drums, dancing in Debbie’s living. I loved and still listen to the Moody Blues!
Tuesday Afternoon! What a beautiful song accompanied by the beautiful voice! Mysterious, hauntingly majestic. Something calls to me, the trees are drawing me near. Love ❤️ it!
Have just found this channel, on a Tuesday morning! The Moody Blues have been the one constant thread in my life since I was about 12 years old. Now I am 67. This music remains an important part of my life and Justin is still a beautiful man, both inside and out.
Even after all these years, I've yet to hear a song that matches this one. Perfect in every way. Thank you, Moody Blues for all of your magic. You are one of a kind. With love, S.
I was a Melancholy Man, until I saw myself in Balance. This reminder arrived just in time on this Tuesday afternoon to help me chase away some very threatening clouds of my own. Thank you for helping me find the Keys to the Kingdom.
Hi Kathleen Its my pleasure meeting you. Thank you for the love and passion you have for my music career I truly appreciate you from my heart. Where are you from?
My childhood was one of the worst times of my life, but these songs took me away from it. It's partly pain because of my life then, but it's also a sanctuary, and there's no way to show appreciation for it to you enough except to simply say thank you because that's all I have to offer.
