Not sure how popular it USED to be. I just started getting into it 2 years but with plenty of narrators and a few like MCP putting out fairly frequent content, it doesn't seem any less popular than when I got into it

One shouldn't compare the out-of-date health care system of a former socialist country to that in Germany, UK or in the Scandinavian countries... we pay a fortune for health care but if needed, we can be sure we receive excellent treatment and medicine that won't kill us in the long run ☠️😂

For anyone who cares, the pronunciation of czech word nocny (or noční, if we are to be accurate) is a bit off. The letter "č" in western slavic languages do not sound like english "c", but more like combined "cz" in the word "czech". To be clear, I am not blaming anybody nor complaining (I am not a czech, after all). Nobody can reasonably expect someone from half the globe away to get things like that right first try.

Hi yeah as a Czech person I just *have* to be a little annoyed about this, that is not how you pronounce “noční doktor.” I know firsthand that sometimes the language barrier can be a hassle but at the same time the protagonist heard a Czech person say it so it feels like it would’ve been worth it to plop the word “noční” into a translator to find out what it’s pronounced like. It would’ve been slightly less terrible if the protagonist had seen it as a text message for example, cuz then I’d understand he also mispronounces it in his head, but he hears it from a native speaker. Sorry for the complaint but it just kinda kept taking me out of the story every time it got repeated wrong ^^’ the narration is incredible as always, but in this case it just kind of adds salt to the wound - if you’re this good, making sure names and words in a different language are pronounced correctly doesn’t seem like that far of a reach.
