I just realized that the basic Morita Assault Rifle has no sights. So really, it seems like the engagement range for the Morita being at short to medium range is actually accurate.

They were supposed to have sights in the movie originally but time constraints to get to filming aswell as it being an added complexity to the already *abhorrent* choice to do fiberglass and rubberized molding the armorer/weapon designer didnt get the chance to have them implemented, the notch thing sticking up underneath the carrying handle is the only remnant of what was going to be the sights.

@@luger_Mann out of curiosity, what was the base model used for the Morita, if there was one at all? Like the Aliens Pulse Rifle was a Thompson with a body kit and the Star Wars E-11 Blasters were modded Sterling SMGs.

@@CptPhilippnes Ruger Mini-14 in a bullpup configuration. You can clearly identify the charging handle and see the Mini-14 magazine with the rubber bits attached.

Starship Troopers Extermination gave the Morita Rifle a update they now have proper Iron Sights so everyone could aim the rifle

And now thanks to the Mutators update, you can sometimes have a Morita rifle with a scope! And let's not forget the Mk III SAW and Harkeye variant. :D

the M1 was the best variant in terms of aesthetics, and the M3 was such a regressive design. It's just so unreasonably bulky.

The M3 looks like a Warhammer 40k bolter. That being said, the M1 is also my favorite.

The Morita II in the videogame is a pure shotgun, it has no AR mod. It's not even called the Morita II, that oddly went to the normal Morita. It just has a normal shotgun and a heavy shotgun mode.
