Except with night vision and thermal. Military grade in that case is easily above that of the civ side. Which shows in the current market. The highest quality sets of NV are mil chassis with military contractor tubes
Just FYI since this guy isnt really doing these justice. Once you get these out in the wild, with no amibent light like he has in this video, you wont be able to see further than 20-30ft clearly. These are glorified digital camera sensors on a PVS14 housing. These units need supplemental IR light to see well so you will need a IR flashlight or something to illuminate wherre you are looking. Also the refresh rate on these can cause motion sickness.

Ngl, these are cool. The only downside is that the IR light showing, allowing analog nvg users to see you easily. Making it great for hunting at night but not something like Airsoft.
It needs an IR illuminator to see so if someone is using PVS-14s they will see you, and they will get you, it's the equivalent of using white light for normal NVG users
no shit, anyone who is going anywhere where they need NVG's are not going to be looking at budget options on youtube, they will be using military equipment, there's no point in talking about anyone using PVS-14s because anyone wanting cheap nvgs just want it to go for walks at night and f around for fun
For anyone who sees the cap on the first unit, don't get suspicious because A: that's not the product he's trying to sell you anyway lol and B: a day cap on analogue night vision is normal practice when you have it in bright conditions in order to protect the light amplifying tube.

If you want night vision just save up and get analog. Yeah it’s expensive but if you get digital your just gonna regret it, waste your money and wanna upgrade anyway
Buddy got his in recently. Definitely hoping the helmet mount is more sturdy than the GoPro style one. As less than cautious movement changes the location the device was placed. Obviously these have drawbacks. But for the price they could have their use especially like the ad said. During camping or airsoft ( with a more stable mount) and deff a cheaper way to see with night vision style devices. At the end of the day I'd say for this device a sturdy mount is a must and learn about nvg so you know the pros and cons this has and if it would suit your needs.
I will buy them if I can use them at night time for the night sky for viewing satellites!! also, how bright with the sky be at night time and how well could I see stars and satellites
You can pick up a Gen 3 pvs-14 for like 1800-2000 all day (just put one together with mounts and all right under 1600 using a blem free omni 8 aviation tube), digital NV isn't worth it and useless in a tactical sense since your throwing ir light everywhere, thermal on the other hand is different but that has a different purpose
Guys, dont get digital night vision. Its not worth it. If you really want night vision, save up for the real deal. A decent gen 2 pvs-14 can go as cheap as ~2k. Yes thats a lot, but the digital stuff just isnt worth it.

Why not put a rounded display inside Instead of square??? To Match the vision with professional analog nvgs. Square display is very uggly in these digital nvg models.

Military night vision is better because it doesn't need an infrared flashlight to work, the infrared flashlight would give away the users position to anything with an infrared cameras or night vision, like other soldiers with NODs, tanks, drones, jets, ifvs and so on
The real stuff works way better in low light conditions. This example is filmed during the day. Also latency on analog tends to make people sick if it's used helmet mounted instead of on a static position.

Well, he's not technically wrong. Depending on the specs and generation of the tube you can spend 4k on a pvs 14 (mine cost 3.4k) but you can get decent gen 2 ones for a lot less.

Well thats how most people sale their products by saying it’s at cheaper price to get you to buy it cause once you see the actual price the cheaper price sounds a lot better n to good to be true but it’s better to waste just 200+$ then the actual price of the product so I mean it’ll probably be “on sale for 200$” for a while not just for Christmas if they wanna actually make sells cause rn looking at the comments it’s a love hate relationship with these personally if I didn’t get scammed b4 n have all my money drained from my account I’d already buy these bug even when I got paid I bought some food n after that it was all gone again so until I get a new account with a bank that’ll happily return all my money to me if it were to happen again so rn all I can do is wait n continue looking for reviews in the comments
