The large hitbox charge also doesn't do much damage. His other attacks do real damage but have pretty fair hitboxes, so it ends up being not too tough overall.
Tips for folks having trouble with Gaius: Two-hand one of the thrusting shields and just guard counter him. He literally has zero idea how to deal with it.
Has anyone told her that some of the grab attacks can be mashed out of early? I keep seeing so many clips of people getting grabbed and taking the full damage.
Pekora is something. Commander Gaius is a pain to beat, but she did it so easily, without no summon too! I was having a hard time beating that guy because he always two shot you. Very skillful Rabbit.
3:54 Gods Pekora is such an absolute gamer lmao. 8:28 and *this* is where I returned to Stealth because after the fiftieth time getting sniped from 6 miles away by some eel I couldn’t even see and then another eel teleports up for some lunch I could not take it anymore. Screw the second Finger area
I killed that yesterday, at first was "what a weakling", wasted a golden finger and was "oh fuck at second phase". When I saw I could stab it after dead I was "fuck, it probably takes damage only after you deplete his health". Fortunately it only has 3 phases.
this guys charge dmg actually has 3 hitboxes and can deal three times the dmg+ he gains i-frame while charging+ 8 or 9 atk combo if you're in meele range. I can't even call messmer hard after fighting this boss
Right like I'm currently fighting him dude just doesn't give me a chance to summon or heal he's not even fun to fight Messmer was a fun fight even tho it was hard but this guy is annoying
Pekora has gotten so good. One moment I saw her being beaten to a pulp by this boar riding boss then the next she beat it. I have no idea how she learnt to beat him so fast. The boss seemingly has no openings to me.
Actually really surprised at how good Pekora is at the game. Due to the vtuber schedule it's kind of hard for a lot of these streamers to play these games consistently. Beating the SotE bosses is no joke.
Every video I see of the ER DLC makes me so glad I didn't pick it up 😆 Although Pekora looked like a real badass on her last round vs that boar knight dude, good for her!
Gaius really feels like a boss they meant for you to fight on horseback, but they didn't manage to fix the issues with horseback combat by the time the DLC released. I tried it for a bit and it would already be a fun way to do the boss if they let you disable the confirmation prompt when resummoning torrent using an estus.
I fought tree sentinel for like 100+ times when I first play elden ring this type of rider boss is probably easy for me you mostly need to roll to them
I HATE those pink magic spamming finger snakes, more than anything in the DLC. Why do they snipe you from 100 miles away with the most annoying magic in the world that tracks you like a guided missile? Those folks at fromsoft are some trolls I swear to god. They were like oh, lets combine two of the most annoying things, projectile spam and stun.
