Been there many times as I worked just blocks away. Spent many a peaceful lunch hour drinking in it's wonderful grace and history. It was where I first saw lapis lazuli architectural columns 2 stories high. The library collection was phenomenal.Often in nice weather friends and coworkers would use the steps as a sunny meeting place to congregate and meet up. Am honored and grateful to have such crystal clear times, a square city block of professional associates and friends along with the memories as I'm reminded here and now. Wish all equally as joyous times.

Hello from the UK 🇬🇧😊. My daughter would love this beautiful historic Library. ♥️ I hope she gets to visit it one day. My daughter hated reading in school. I used Art, music and Dyslexic Thinking to help her spell the words she could not read. She now has a small Library in her room. She also is an amazing storyteller and Lyricist. Never stop dreaming ❣️
Ur right, I have been to that library when they had whats called Culture Pass sponsored by t Public Library system to enrich New Yorkers w culture to visit museums for free
Now that I'm not a New Yorker the prices of most of things 'cultural' have made it near impossible. Had 30 years of most of the best of the 'tristate area' before inflation strangled so much or made it disappear though so I was/am truly blessed and thankful.
Today we went to my child's open house and the principal told me that they got rid of most of the books because they were now doing online reading. I think that it's so sad that maybe in a few years kids are not going to know what it is to go to a library at school and sit down to read a book.
I recommand you to discover the story of Belle Greene the first librairian of this place. In 2024 an exhibition will be for her work to the Morgan librairy
