I’m 73 and I like to think I’m the oldest ARMY, but I doubt it. I think they’re adorable, but their talent is so enormous that it’s almost scary. Then you add their activism and I start wondering if they might save the world. Never mind that, when I feel like I’m losing my mind, and my plans are completely broken, all I have to do is put on Permission to Dance, and i can move like I’m still 17. It isn’t over till it’s over.
So glad you posted this. I am 70 and absolutely love BTS. Just introduced them to a friend in her twenties. They are so tncredibly talented. Most of all they bring me joy.
I will be 70 soon. That number scares me but, when I think of the alternative, I will take the 70 gladly. I’m just getting into BTS music. Boy oh boy are they talented. I hope everyone Who reads this has had their COVID-19 shots already..... or will be getting them shortly. I just got my second shot on Sep. 20th. We must stay alive and be healthy so that we can enjoy the beautiful music of BTS for a very long time. 😎 🤩 🥳 😍 😃
I have been thinking about Elder Army, and how we were teenage girls when the Beatles came to the US. I have never been a screaming fan of any band, but I also never encountered a band whose members really love each other. The Beatles sure didn’t. I think we need to be grateful to the man who put these boys together, based on nothing but auditions. That is a level of emotional intelligence bordering on genius. And it has given millions a way to share in that kind of love.
So you're saying that Jin had no interest in singing and dancing and was auditioning for acting and he had to learn singing and dancing from scratch??? 😲 My respect for him increased👆🏼👏🏻
Yes he was bullied for his dancing for years after too but still he always used to work hard even after practice.. Later launched his beautiful solo.. They are amazing 7 boys from Korea..they show us how to embrace our imperfections ,bullying and still keep working through 💛
The more you watch him, the more surprises you get. I was blown away by him. There's just too much that he does, and I get why he didn't bounce when he was told he literally had to start from zero as an idol. Edit: I'm still being blown away by him.
Namjoon is my “moon child” Jin is my “epiphany “ Yoongi is my “first love” Hoseok is my “daydream “ Jimin is my”serendipity “ V is my “winter bear“ Jungkook is my “euphoria “ BTS is my “heartbeat” Being an army is my “DNA”
One of the reasons behind BTS's success is that while the other bands and artists are busy making music on romance, girls, money, gold diggers, drugs, etc BTS are making music that helps a person to love themselves, to help cop up with depression, anxiety and stress and they even make songs to help Army's concentrate in their studies. That's why neither there was nor there is or is going to be anyone else like BTS
There others who have paid the piper and are great bands too we all will have our favorites that's life and how people are and. I respect all of your choices. B T. S are a riot to follow no doubt about that.
They are really great and true artists. And I am such a fan of them like everybody else. Love yourself trilogy literally has a positive impact on millions of listeners and it's still best till this date. All of their music is super relatable and dope. But when they make song like Pied piper for us to focus on our lives. It's really damn hard. And their choreography for the song. Okay I'm gonna stop. YKWIM. Saranghae BTS💜
ive literally never listened to a single BTS song before and i started tearing up with pride while watching this whole video wtf these people are amazing
And have you listened to them now? I saw them on one talk show and fell down the rabbit hole and have never looked back. These young men are truly an inspiration. My only regret is that I didn't find them sooner....I've been an Army for 4 years now.
@@monicabohn2476 i've been listening to them for the past month!! and watching a lot of videos :) i love their group dynamics and theyre all so talented
@@s.7656 pls watch The rise of bangtan docu-series it has 15 episodes as of now. Listen their songs like paradise, tomorrow, love myself, epiphany, mikrokosmos etc read the lyrics
BTS are really amazing people, their music is amazing, their personalities, everything about them is just beautiful. I really recommend listening to their music and getting to know them more.
I am an 82 year old fan. I look for their activities and what has been newly released in the morning and just before I go to bed. I would love to adopt them. They are so cute and wholesome. They are very very talented. My family can’t understand my loyalties. I love their music and the beats of their songs. They make me happy,! Susan
@@weakanklesfornamjoon That was one of my all time favorite Suga moments. Then when he told Jungkook, "I was the one wearing your missing blue underwear." 😂. I couldn't stop laughing. They are such wholesome boys.
I'm 40 and not ashamed to say I love BTS. My 12 yr old daughter introduced me to them, so I started to watch their videos and learn everything I could about them so I would know more about my daughters interests and her future husband lol. I absolutely fell in love with them and the music! Me and my daughter will watch their RU-vid videos for hours and laugh our ass off even though we don't know what they are saying! I love that they promote self love!
They are all around entertaining to watch. I find myself watching youtube for hrs. I call it BTS tv. Lol. They still seem so humble and just regular guys. And freakin hilarious! Idk who is funnier, Namjoon and his facial expressions or Jin and his dad jokes. 😝.
The Asian Theory puts out some of the best documentaries, period. Also I love how they treat topics like K-Pop with the respect that many people don't and make their content really understandable!
I am 53 years old, and not ashamed of saying that I am a big fan of a such fantastic band as BTS. I send them showers of blessings and keep up the positivity that the group emanate. Lluvia de éxitos.
My daughter is obsessed with BTS. I wanted to learn more about this group of guys who has invaded my home! I love their music as well! Thank you for the video!
I’m almost 67 and I adore BTS! No one in my family gets it, do not understand how much these 7 wonderfully talented young men give me a skip in my step every day. I love hearing over and over how hard they worked, and rose up against all odds!
Why do feel that BTS is working on their Korean album that will drop before Oct? Since their English songs were produced by foreign songwriters and composers, they probably had more time to invest in their Korean album. I hope this happens.
yes bc in tge latest weverse magazine it said ptd is for the end of an era (dynamite, butter, ptd) so i have a feeling like the next cb gonna be in korean !
"Humble Group". I am an ARMY for almost 3yrs.. BTS is my stress reliever.. They helps me a lot with thier beautiful and inspiring songs during my hardships.. That's why I Love BTS so much.. 💜💜💜
@Woojin X Cubs = Best Artist And Fandom correct your spelling first dear :), they're the biggest band/group/boy band/musicians.. call them anything you want but you can't deny that they're the biggest in any category!
@Woojin X Cubs = Best Artist And Fandom New Biggest things come... Always.... Now BTS Beats Every artist...on THE PLANET.... So BTS is the Biggest history of all time Now
@Woojin X Cubs = Best Artist And Fandom with all due respect to the legend, we have to accept the fact that mj could not reach a bit non english speaking audience that bts could because of the presence of internet. Thats now comes as praise for MJ sir coz he did it all without internet. And also at what HUGE level bts is with power of reaching bigger audience with above said medium😊
I don’t listen to BTS songs but with their global dominance, and after watching this documentary I can see why so many people love them. This was truly inspirational and everyone from all walks of life can definitely learn something from this. For me it taught me that by staying humble, staying true to yourself and being yourself, and making good music that doesn’t always have to be about sex, drugs, and money will always win! So proud of BTS and the founder who had a vision and gave all of them a chance, breaking barriers, overcoming challenges, and teaching us what success looks like if we keep fighting and never give up. Turning the impossible to possible!! Amazing just amazing!!! 🙏🙏🙌🙌♥️♥️
The story of their journey to success NEVER fails to impress me, the way they came from nothing and they themselves almost gave up, but because of their talent, music, delivery and hard work, it all paid of in the end.
7:54 chillssssss the fact that the iconic park jimin almost wasn’t apart of bts… it’s honestly fate that these 7 ended up together… the amount of events that had to occur for this group to exist makes them that more special update: finished the video and now i’m crying
Thank you, Guys for this documentary. It always help "NEW" fans to know who BTS is? Just an FYI, I always "recommend" your documentary to all reactors especially those that are NEW to BTS... Keep up the "good work" guys! Am proud of you all!
This documentary displays the hard work and perseverance BTS has shown. They will always be remembered as one of the best international boy band groups ever to be created.
Thank you for covering BTS story. As an ARMY who just discovered BTS 2 years ago, and didn't get a chance to be in a journey with BTS since their beginning, I really enjoy your storytelling of them, it's easy to understand, it's fun.. your narrative, your voice, the video editing itself is so enjoyable and entertaining i didn't get bored while watching it. Pls keep it up 💜
i became a fan in 2015 and it was amazing to see them grow. i wasn’t there from the beginning but i was there right before they released i need you and watching them grow in popularity within a month in korea was amazing
I'm 67 yrs old but I'm a big fan of BTS not only bcoz they were good in dancing and singing but because they were good kids who climb to the top no matter what... They were so inspiring! Go BTS go!
These young guys are full of life, full of dreams, they work hard to the fullest.. They deserve what they have right now, they are the only boy band who broke the language barriers all over the world , every part of the world's you will hear their Korean song singing by everyone.. That's the power of BTS.. 😍💞💞💞🌍
I am 72 and I found BTS during the pandemic 2020. Couldn't believe a group like this existed. Even though I couldn't understand Korean, I still loved their singing and dancing talent. Their personalities were so inspiring. I am grateful to know this group of fine young men. They helped me to not lose my mind during lockdown. My favorite/bias is Jimin. Love all of them, but find myself concerned about Jimin's health and happiness.
I am 75 years old too but BTS songs and dance moves makes me feel I am 40 yrs old yet. . . Hahaha . The BTS boys are just so wonderful and I love them so much.
If someone ask me to choose my fav song between their all English songs, then I'll choose PTD. So many people didn't like the song, it's okay. But don't disrespect their work. English is not the first language of BTS and they're not fluent in it. But they still made such beautiful songs. I can understand why they use that much of auto tune, that's because of their accent. Every members have different English accent that's why they've to use auto tune to make the song sounds good. Just listen to Butter live performance you can clearly hear their accent which sounds little bit off. That's the reason they're using auto tune in their English tracks. It's okay if you don't like the song. I prefer their Korean songs more than English songs too, but I don't disrespect their work. They're giving such a beautiful and healing message. Being a non English speaker they're making music in other language so that every people can understand. We should appreciate that.
Thanks for saying this. I hope more ppl read this. I’m a fluent English speaker but I like PTD. It’s ok not to like a song but like you said, we shouldn’t disrespect their work. The message behind the song is what really matters.
It's also happen in the previous version of this video. If they wait for a little bit, they might include "Life Goes On" topping Billboard Chart, but they didn't!!😅
Well so much info was excluded for 2021 update like the online fan meeting which had the record for the most paid viewers for an online concert. And also, some parts were literally not needed like bang pd resigning and stuff like that. I'd recommend that you guys can replace it with other achievements like another daesang sweep, billboard 4 wins, and dynamite having the MOST music show wins in history. AND PLEASE HEAR ME OUT ON THIS ONE: can you guys cover the exeptional stages they've made like performing in an airport, bridge, rooftop, inside an airplane, soccer field, empty stadium, classical concert hall, national museum, korean palace, and even recreated sets for late night shows, billboard and grammys. This will definitely showcase their creativity and star power that despite being away from venues due to pandemic, THEY DEFINITELY STOOD OUT and made themselves the most resilient and best performers of their time.
I’d love if Asian Theory did a video looking at their discography thematically and narratively, really calling out the themes that are interwoven throughout all their music and the narratives of each era. A video exploring their contribution to performance, such as the settings you describe above, and even the masterpiece that was the 2019 MAMA stage could be yet another fascinating video! 💜💜💜
Anyone who involve on this video making is deserved an award. Thank you for putting these stories together. And yes, BTS are really are extraordinary. I think BTS has its own genre, maybe known as BTS genre. No matter how harsh the haters can be, keep rolling and put the best into it. BTS proves them wrong eventually. What a life lesson for never giving up.
Honestly, while PTD isn’t my favorite BTS track. It did it’s job in making me feel better. Judging by BTS' reaction to the song and MV, they seem happy. They've even expressed feelings of 'healing' when they listened and watched. BTS are at a stage where they are happy with their music. Maybe most Americans won’t like the song but the world doesn’t revolve around us. BTS have a huge fanbase and most of the fanbase love the song it seems. There might be significantly more ARMYs that don’t like the song but it’s obvious most do and will support it. That’s their choice. So I personally think people outside of the fandom, or even within the fandom, should stop criticizing those that love and support the song. Just because you didn’t like the song doesn’t mean others agree. They’ll support, you won’t. That's why music is subjective. It's so disturbing reading comments online, "ARMY are so blinded by their obsession with BTS that they don't realize how trash the song is or how they were given the minimum." When this is entirely not true; since music is subjective, what seems like a trashy song to someone, might be a great song to someone else. Even if a song is disliked by majority, or liked by majority.
For me PTD was their best english song! Dont get me wrong I love Dynamite and butter 100%,but PTD was song that make me realy happy. I dont like to dance but I was dancing to this song like a crazy person. 😂
If someone ask me to choose my fav song between their all English songs, then I'll choose PTD. Most of the English speaking people didn't like the song, it's okay. But don't disrespect their work. Music taste is subjective. While ptd is not my type of song, my friend loved it so much. That's why we can never call a music bare minimum or whatever.
I know them since 2018 but I became part of army only recently, it’s incredible hearing their journey. These 7 boys went through hell and for this they deserve everything. They are such good role models and they really helped many ppl. I purple you💜
I just got into kpop a few months ago through another group, and had only heard (and very much enjoyed!) a few BTS songs. I've been wanting to get to know them better, and this video was exactly what I needed. This was the best 'get to know the group' video I've seen so far. Looking forward to becoming an ARMY!
This makes me love them more. I just stumbled across one of their videos in Tiktok last month and I can't stop watching their shows, Bon Voyage, Run BTS, In The Soop, and now some documentaries. This is helpful because I got to know them more. My only regret is that I didn't pay attention to them earlier. I used to enjoy DNA and didn't bother listening to more of their music. I'm missing a lot.
Bruh…. I’m speechless… I’ve known them since their first album debut and seeing how far they’ve come is crazy. It makes me so proud but like shit is also wild… they’ve been so apart of my life the past 7-8 years that I hadn’t quite realized just how much they’ve truly grown especially with statistics like this!
@@brightbeautyshoppy5653 I wish I was an og ARMY! I've only known them for about a year! Man! It went so FAST!! I've been trying to catch up but I keep getting lost in the "present"! I noticed when they were leaving at the airport, how tall Jin was! I think it must have been a growth spurt! He wasn't that tall when I started watching a year ago! JK is getting taller also. I remember him saying he was as tall as RM now, he sounded proud. He's sick of being the baby.
I am 75 and love to listen to BTS music. I especially like how they support each other in their individual endeavors. No one but these seven knows their journey. They are hard working, bright, and talented and deserve all that comes their way.
My son Keith Parry who was the sound engineer for Butter and Permission to Dance passed away in October 2021 from Stomach Cancer at Cedar Sinai in Los Angeles. The day after he passed they were by nominated for a Grammy. He never knew. He worked so hard on these songs and video and put his heart and soul into them. I can hear Keith’s music through them. If anybody deserves credit it would be him and the crew he worked with. Unfortunately credit for accomplishing what he did does not convert dollars in his bank account. He barely scrapped by in life but created music because it’s what he loved doing more than anything. Unfortunately for me he has left this world and there will be no more of him or his talents. Bless you guys for helping him shine through your tunes. Something I will always have to hold on to. Love from his mom Beverly
I would say this only has less likes because people haven't read it, that's incredible and indeed your son is an incredible force and talent thankyou god for making him❤❤, your son now rests with the musical spirits of the universe in high heaven's Milky way, he now composes aurora's and the sound of wind through rustling leaves❤ he came from a blessed mother, thanks for showing your story
I love being reminded of BTS' growth, their milestones, talents, brotherhood, successes, and their love of each other and ARMY. And...their world domination. THANK YOU!
Thank you for making me cry again when watching this video and their struggles to the top. I am a 61 year old fan that came on board in 2015 and have not stopped following them and will not stop till they retire. At my age they even inspire me. They are in my eyes the Magnificent 7.
They so funny ar home and on their outings. I am 82 and love these guys their antics make laugh all time. My goodness I said before they dance and are so flexible in their moves. Watch them all the time they make my day
Who ever came up with the idea for them to change their style from grunge to pop is an absolute genius. What a beautiful journey of blood, sweat and tears! They worked so hard and fully deserve all their success. So inspiring.
Not you making me cry, by reminding me how amazing they are. I knew the day they dropped Spring Day, they had officially made my all time favorite song. Proud Army of 6 years, I really love watching them grow.
Hey now I am in America born and raised here am of native American heritage am an. Avid fan of B T S. I am 82 years of age love them watch them daily on You Tube and when they come over here I watch them they are a phenomenal. So is Eric Mun and his band. Shinwah. Have I heard of them fantastic group too. Eric is an awesome.actor as well sorry mis spelled their group name. Check them out.
Kept me captivated for Whole 40 minutes. The longest RU-vid video I've ever watched. BTS is such a miracle. They deserve all the success. But it's their bond I love the most. It's not the money and fame but the passion and bond that people should be jealous about. They're more than a miracle.
Its such a beautiful journey ... 7 normal boys with dreams now became dreams of a billion people!! I don't want them to disband.. *"One day I'll lose my six flowers and millions of butterflies'* - *Kim Seokjin*
Appreciate the update. The first version alone was golden and the updates made it even more so. Do add the billboard achievements of their latest releases since their longevity this time around on No. 1 on Billboard Hot 100 is truly legendary behavior. Looking forward to the next update with more amazing achievements by these wonderful men. Cheers!
I cried so much watching this i am so proud of them. Every army knows what I mean. No matter what music they make or what personal life choices they make, I and we will love and support them forever.
Oh, i love how you tweaked it at 1:39 eliminating the possible confusion for some who might not catch the sly humor of the switcheroo thing you had in the original one 👍
I'm 68 and I found BTS on you tube and fell completely in love with these adorable, talented and amazing young men. Their music, even though when I started listening was in Korean, didn't faze me one bit, the beat and their vocals got my attention immediately. BTW, it was Boys With Love. Every time I hear them I dance along, so I love you guys and keep up the great work. I purple you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you for this! It gave me goosebumps and made me cry. BTS has worked so hard and they deserve all the success bestowed upon them. It was a blessing for me to find them when I did and at 45 years old.
indeed the best documentary for our Bangtan Boys . Thank you for showing their each and every achievements!! hats off to your hardwork . Proud of our boyz
I love this video, Let's all of us see how Amazing and Brilliant BTS really is. BTS y'all are absolutely Stunning and Talented. Y'all deserve all the success in the world 🌍.
I really regret not checking them out earlier. Now they’re part of my everyday life, so to whoever wondering, yes, u should listen to them, it’s completely worth it
