Plus those mountain aerial views from Samuel's Fortress and St. John's Cathedral were fantastic. The boat tour I really have no words for... just wish I was there :-) Thank you Alina. My mom grew up in Ohrid. My dad's parents grew up there as well. When I was a kid we would sometimes spend the whole summer there. It is very beautiful and I long to go back again.

I believe the word Ohrid , is a derivative of a word “Garden”...amazing it’s another Tuscony. Incredible capture . And since it was called the Jerusalem then it possibly was the Garden referring to a place of heaven..

No, in reality it is better: you can not smell the fresh air, nor the roses, kamille, lindeblossems, pines, in real it all is so much wider. But now that the Covid period is over, it is much crowded!!

Unbelievable to say the least, the music you used here just fits so well, it is easy to really get into the spirit of what you were showing. No wonder you enjoy this so much! And I have to say your camera work with the drone really puts a cap on this magical place. This video is a masterpiece. A perfect cinematic experience with excellent camerawork, superb narration, soulful music AND absolutely mesmerizing drone shots! Hands down one of the best videos I've ever seen on RU-vid, period. And I've used Skillshare using your link and I can definitely say its worth it! Thanks Alina for the beautiful video.I love this city because it is part of the Bulgarian history. 9th/10th century Ohrid is Bulgarian capitol. Macedonia, Moezia, Iliria,Getia,Dacia its aerials of the TRACIA.

Hi Alina, I'm Albanian. Wonder if you're going to visit my country. If you are, make sure you cross on the other side of the lake and make your first stop in the town of Pogradec which actually faces Ohrid. That is my favorite town where I used to spend summers in my aunts' apt. Too bad it's November and you can't have a splash in the lake.
Afraid you're going to skip Pogradec then, although there's not much there in the winter. Tip for you, shoot for traditional food. You will be blown away by the authentic taste. Good luck. You seem to be a very sincere person and I wish I could send you a private message as an old good friend.

Yay, you said “supper” (instead of “dinner”). A good Prairie girl! Many years ago, back in Yugoslavia days, a Serb friend and I did a road trip around the country and camped out on the south shore of Lake Ohrid, near that 8th century church (Naum is pronounced Na-oom). We skindived in the lake and got an eel for our supper. Makendonian language is closer to Bulgarian than Serbian I’m told, and there was no English at all back then. How well can you get by in English there now?

@@steven-k. Income tax is flat 10% there is many Macedonians (who worked abroad) and some foreigners which retire in this city Ohrid. To buy apartment in centre it will cost you 1000 euros per m2 while outside centre you can find for 600-700e/m2. With 1000 euros you can live really solid here :)
Never heard of the place to be honest, very pretty. It looks quite challenging to get there, I suppose that's the reason it's a bit unknown, people in neighbouring countries can just drive there. Bit odd that they spell it: "Ohrid", Охрид comes out as "Okhrid". Love the drone shots!
"Tava" is called the baking tray the trout with onions is cooked in, not the dish itself. Tava mean baking tray :) Thanks for the video, looking forward to the epic bike ride. You are well brave, as the road is probably with varying elevation and not easy at all.
