🎞 STORY: Before deciding to make short travel films of our travels for TRAILERS and CIGARETTES. Fatima and I toured most of Canada from coast to coast several times (except Yukon, NWT and Labrador). Throughout our Canadian roadtrips we explored many beautiful towns-never with a camera-never with a RU-vid channel. Today I’m revisiting the ones that came close in beauty, people and culture to the town of Salvage . . . his time . . . with camera in hand.
Salvage with an average population of around 124 people simply stole our hearts. Salvage is not overly developed with multimillion dollar homes, fashion stores, fast food franchises, and nature clings to the rocks while the mighty ocean pounds at it’s shores and wind blows over the landscape.
Newfoundland is simply the most beautiful province in Canada, so finding Salvage was like finding the largest jewel of a crown.
Rocky's Ocean Breeze Pub was a delight to experience, mainly the pan fried fish - Rocky (fella at the end of the film) - made our visit personable. Drop into Rocky’s Cottage if your ever in the area; say MeHi from Trailers and Cigarettes sent you.
