Thank you so much for all your inspiring videos! I always thought myself talentless and playing music instruments was far away from my mind. It is such a great feeling that I can do it!
This video is simply marvelous! Thank you so much for making it I struggled with understanding how to break free from standard ways to play chords on ukulele, even though I have studied musical theory. I only learned how to play piano with it, and string instruments are a total mystery for me. But now I feel like I have something to start on this journey with!
This seems like an excellent follow up video to "the most beautiful chord progression" video you did a while ago. Before I watched that video I could play the fun song from SpongeBob.. Your video introduced me to fingerstyle, hammer ons and slides in a format that didn't seem overwhelming at all, adding them as I can while just jamming a nice chord combination I really like how you explained broken chords here and I will be practicing that. Thanks dude! I appreciate learning music like this because I like to sit around at night and play in the quiet. I go to the mountains alot and I'm glad that I chose to learn the ukulele and lucky to have found people like you who share knowledge and explain things so well. Thanks again
So I’ve been on guitar for about 30 years. I’ve started on uke fairly recently - and consider myself a beginner. Respect for the instrument. I’m loving this. You clearly have genius knowledge of this device. Mad respect! I’m keeping this video to strengthen my musicality and proficiency. Thank you! Thank you. Thank you.
Such wonderful minor minor detailing can change your music playing style, I think by learning lessons like this one can understand. Thanks for another precious lesson 🙏🙏 stay blessed
Marco, I've been locked into your vids since June 2022. You are officially my number one "Ukulele Hero"! There's so much value in this video... Whether for someone who got their first ukulele today, or for someone who has been playing for a few months like me. Keep up the great work, and thank you for existing ❤🎸🔥
It's so good to get your exercises. I love to practice and I'm starting to make progress in a very short time. Thank you Marco, for this one too. I'm looking forward to practice these.
This lesson right here just took my playing to a whole new level! We all know these basic chords. But my struggle is coming up with something original or even musical lol this helped me so much!

@@MarcoCirilloUkulele yes you did and I watched the video. There is a difference between “ Latin” and “ Bossa Nova.” “Latin is Spanish flamenco Bossa Nova has syncopated rhythm and minor chords. Come on Bro hooks us up with something cool. 🥰
goes to show music might have its patterns, its rights and its wrongs but at the end of the day the free choice of how to play is alot more free than i previously thought. Bravo Marco. Keep up the good work, is there any chance we can have a breakdown of an arrangement for Villancico de navidad -Agustin Barrios. That may be the sweetest classical tune on ukulele yet. i have no doubt you wont be disappointed
Thanks for suggesting this piece! I love Barrios. I am not sure how to arrange his pieces on the ukulele though. They can be quite complex! I’ll try :)
Is your uke on a high or low G, I play the piano but I wanna start learning ukulele bc its so "happy"feeling ?❔❔❓and what do u think is the best to begin with,(soprano, concert, tenor, high G...) that would help me a lot ;)
Not Marco here, but an avid uke player and builder… I would say get a tenor, and string it with a Low G bass string; the tenor size gives more fullness, and the Low G gives you more possibilities for finger style, with nothing lost over High G. Hope this helps…
I dont agree... I played it on my uke with low G and this progression doesnt sound all that great.... as a matter of fact it was kinda ugly sounding in a dysfunctional way
Thanks Marco. I can’t make all the chords but I hit the “thanks button” anyway for the lesson. You are a terrific teacher. 👨🏻🦳🔥♿️ MikeinMinnesota. I’ll see YOU at the Top!
