I think there's another joke from this story, after the girl can see the blind man proposes again since she said she will marry once she get to see, but she rejects him again saying 'I don't want to marry a blind man'
Looking through lens of doctor I would have thought the professional ethics of the surgeon, who did live transplant for a healthy donor, would get a mention.
Seems to be almost a direct take from the story "The gift of the Magi", where the girl sells her long hair to a hairdresser so she can buy a watch chain for her husband's pocket watch, and he sells his pocket watch to buy her some combs for her long hair - neither of which obviously exist anymore. Although to be fair, this is a lot funnier. :-)
Whom I consider stupid in this story? Is the photographer who gave his two eyes or the girl who wants to marry him without two eyes or the doctor who fix the two eyes without giving any suggestions or the one who watched it as romantic I think the writer wants to enjoy his stupidity 😂😂😂
i know exactly the music video ur talking about, it was mad popular back then, but it wasnt exactly like that, she became blind cuz she was helping him developing his films in the dark room, and she stood on a chair to get something, and spilled some kinda chemical liquid in her eyes, thats how she became blind, and thats why he felt guilty and donated his eyes to her.
Ohhhhh I know that hahaha, we have a similar version of this, but the girl originally can see. She got poured some sort of liquid that you use for old polaroid pictures on her eyes. And got blind.

I've heard this story before, very sad end Bcoz the girl marry the doctor who did her operation and told the photographer about her wedding happily This situation happened bcoz the girl's parent dislike the photographer and create a story to match up the girl with the doctor

I assume so as i believe it's a matter of connecting nerves to make eyes work.. in which case, the question becomes: should they both get a left eye, right eye, or alternate sides so that when they face each other head on, they can see "eye to eye"? 😂😂😂 Otherwise "seng ngek" lah.. 🙃

In a way but not necessarily. In The Gift of the Magi, both the husband and wife benefited... this story Jason told is one sided and only one person benefited.

On Christmas day they each gave their present, then opened it: the fob for the pocket watch he no long owned, the pin for long, beautiful hair she no longer had.
@@scottloar I know the story, it's actually the chain for his watch and a comb for her hair, not pin. But I was simply stating, in the story both party benefited, both received a gift and both experienced a lost. In Jason's story, the guy did not benefit and =made a sacrifice whereas the girl did not make a sacrifice but gain a benefit. Unless you think that he benefited because he gets to marry her.
As a human being, that’s what I also thought. Why give both eyes? And I think that is how it’s done usually, especially for rare blood groups like 0-ve! 😅😅😅

Dr Leong, you got the gist of the story incorrect.. He donated both eyes coz he was guilty towards her after the solution/chemical from his workshop had fallen on her and caused her blindness. Ya, but I agreed that he should just donate one eye.. haha
The story was wrongly interpreted bro... The video was by Kiss - Because I'm a Girl. Both the photographer and the girl has a connection, but before it could bloom, an accident occured in the studio where the girl loses her sight because of that accident. The photographer, sacrifice by donating his eyes so that the girl could have a normal life. The video was in memory of the death of one of the band members. So making a joke on this video isnt that funny to me bro. Nonetheless some of your work is funny.
People hav their own opinion.. the guy must be feeling guilt.. therefore donate both eyes.. if only donate 1 eye, the girl appearance after operation wont be the same as it is anymore rite? Become like jack sparrow edy.. that is what it call sacrifise.. 🙂 however i understand u want it to become a joke, therefore the script is like that.. 🙂
