Balancing the turbo, slicing through traffic, up and over the mountain.. I'm not sure I could dream up a more difficult combination. Not only are these cars a handful on their own, but throw them on Bathurst... with 42 other cars.. and you've got to be a bit silly to train yourself to do this. But it is so much fun! The Kamel GT series is famous for being one of those "ghost-town" series. But a few times a week a great group of guys get together and have some fan-tastic racing.

I love your edited AI race videos, but now that it’s Iracing, icing on the cake! The ai races felt more like a showcase. Now it’s easy to see how talented of a driver you really are. Then you put the same effort editing into this video as your others!!!!!! 10/10 great work dude

I've never gotten fully confident with this track yet. I love it, but i'm not even to close to being on my own limit. Nice race man. This is what it's all about for me as well, just racing against people in a competitive way. Edit: You were right about project cars 2 no longer being available. That struck me as weird. This is one of the reasons i don't like steam.

Bathurst is a magnificent course, I'd dearly love to see a race live there one day, but, considering I live in the UK and I'm skint it isnt very likely.

Mad machines to take around this place, and these aren't even the 1992-93 Group C/GTP cars. It would be cool if they could do non-spec classes, so you could run the 962s against the Nissans, and whatever else was out there: Jaguar XJR-9, Hendrick Corvette GTP, etc. I guess I shouldn't forget about the Merkur, Corvette, etc in GTO while I'm at it. On a side note, I now you mentioned it on the Suzuka video, but I hope you'll do some more diving into the Historic Sim Studios cars here at some point: 1924-25 GP, '34 GP, etc. They're coming up with quite the field of mid/late '60s Japanese Sports Prototypes, too.

This period of endurance racing is one of my favorites in sim racing. However, I am honestly less than impressed with how this mod looks considering all the more authentic period mods available on other platforms. You mentioned the back fire/flames at one point. It seems like a small thing, but it’s a huge part of immersion with the turbo cars from this period and should be expected from any decent mod in 2023.

Have you tried the lotus 79 since the last tire update? I know you've said that you don't really click with it but the tires changed the car a lot. You should come and race with us sometime.

If IMSA had really come to Bathurst in 1989, I'd reckon that the GTO class would have been the top class there. Röhrl, Haywood and Stuck would have decimated the Mercurys, Oldsmobiles and Corvettes!

Looked at the pedal cam a bit: it seems Jake has a bit of a weird habit of tapping the brakes a slight bit on virtually every upshift? It *might* not be enough travel/pressure to affect the brakes, but I'd still try to avoid doing that :) He also tickles the brakes a bit in other situations aswell... Hope he has some deadzone :)

I noticed this too, i wasnt aware i was doing it but i think its a reflex from typically using the clutch for cars so often. Luckily its light pressure and wasnt registering but I need to knock that habbit!

If you're too broke to play iRacing, you ought to at least try the IMSAs and GTPs at Bathurst in Raceroom Racing Experience. They're quite rad as well !

I watch you without missing any of your videos lately. I wish you hadn't put up some of those footage of you showing your feet and the steering wheel. they fill the screen unnecessarily. It would be more than enough if we could only see your face.
